>HILTON: I went out with that guy last night. >Which guy? >HILTON (points to an actor in Saving Private Ryan): We were making out, but then we went somewhere where it was bright and I saw that he was black and made an excuse and left. I can’t stand black guys. I would never touch one. It’s gross. (pauses). Does that guy look black to you? >How black does a guy have to be? >HILTON: One percent is enough for me
I really like the concept of XXX as a spy franchise but past the first one the execution is really shitty. It's one of those things I wish was made better or just did better until it found it's "groove".
xxx was jam in the early 2000's, before fax and furious, vin had some great movies. Chronicles of riddick, while not being the most original movie, is still a cool sci-fi film. I like the sequels too.
I wonder were Vin's career would have gone if had he never got sucked into F&F world and built that billion dollar franchise around himself. he'd probably be working on classic kino that we'll never get to see, sad.
Yea, I remember watching Boiler Room and being shocked that he was a decent actor. Man Apart was decent too.
The F&F movies were never my thing really, but it's odd to watch him or Michelle Rodriguez, or Tyrese for that matter knowing that in the right movie under the right direction they're pretty compelling actors. I can't watch them and not wonder if this hurts their careers or is it just an easy paycheck because despite their talent they don't get enough work.
Why the frick do I think Tyrese is a good actor you may ask? (pic related)
>Tyrese
God his career just fricking tanks in like 2006.
Flight of the Phoenix, Four Brothers, Anapolis back to back to back after his debut in F&F. Then everything worth note is a Transformers movie or a F&F movie. But holy frick he works a lot. This dude puts out at least one movie every year.
Vin was really good in the first Fast and the Furious. It was the only good movie in that entire franchise because it was just a grounded movie about crime and illegal street races.
What did Paris Hilton call him?
