I love the prequels but I find the OT utterly boring. Please tell me I am not the only one who feels like this. I've seen the OT only one time and nearly fell asleep during TESB. No, I am not joking.

I prefer the revised version or whatever it's called of tesb
How did you fall asleep during one of the best paced films ever made and manage to fall in love with three of the most exposition-heavy convoluted and messy scripts ever committed to screen?
This is sincerely unusual
I just don't care about anything in OT. I don't care about Han's bland character development, I don't care about b***hy Leia, I don't care about watching sweaty Luke train with schizo Yoda for an hour. I don't care about Boba Fett or other bounty hunters, I don't care about this version of Vader. I don't like worn down shitty aesthetics, I don't care about Chewie or C3PO's moronic side plot, I don't care about disco Lando thirsting after ugly Carrie Fisher. The best thing about OT is the soundtrack and I can listen to it separately. The tiny scale of OT makes me claustrophobic. I feel like George finally found himself when he made PT.
It's because you have autism and can't relate to people
homie, for not caring, you sure know a lot.
pffffffffffffthahahahhahahahahahakek
>but I do care about an incel going on an awkward hour long date with a pedophile
>I care about underdeveloped antagonist who get sliced up before they get to be interesting
>I care about cold, boring characters with no personality whatsoever who interact with eachother in a really awkward and unnatural way even if they're supposed to be best friends
>I care about a fricking Teletubbies tier character who acts wacky and annoying and steps in da poopie
>I care about shitty dated CGI battles
>I care about plastic sets that look so unconvincing most people thought they were CGI
Granted sone of the duels were cool even though even tgat aspect of the prequels is seriously flawed
Anakin has more development than anyone in the OT.
it's horribly paced and constantly interrupted by jumping to other characters. The clone war is also terribly boring as the focus is on battles and not the consequences making those jumps meaningless.
>I don't care about this version of Vader.
ROTJ Vader is peak Vader
>is evil
>suddenly becomes good
Whoa
>suddenly
>Please tell me I am not the only one who feels like this.
No, unfortunately there are more zoomers and third worlders gaining access to the internet on a daily basis.
I agree.
It's also really really dated and I can't stomach that.
Boomers literally shit themselves since they've seen nothing else like it at the time so I don't blame them but they really weren't all that great.
No, I am being sincere. I've just realized that I just love PT, not Star Wars. I can't rewatch the originals, they put me to sleep.
Nah, I only watch the prequels now
Disney ruined the OT too much for me to care
I think you need to calm your breasts and stop spamming Cinemaphile with your threads. Star Wars is shit. The truth is it always was.
It was the 70s. All movies were boring.
You're like those people in /trek/ who can't watch TOS because it's "dated"
It is extremely dated. Old-Who too. Entertainment has evolved so much since then that there is no reason to bother with this campy old shlock.
I suppose we should just burn the last 2000 years of literature too? Fricking homosexual.
Nice non-sequitur, butthole. We're talking about cheap entertainment designed to make 12 year olds feel smart. We do that better now.
I, for one, am curious about how people thought and felt in any given era. I wish we had material about the early and high middle ages, for example. Pre-chanson du geste.
>It is extremely dated.
That's the best thing about it, homosexual.
Frick off, shill.
No, you're not the only homosexual alive, anon.
Empire Strikes Back is terribly boring during the Leia-Solo scenes in Bespin and some parts of the beginning in Hoth.
Honestly I think I find A New Hope better than Empire Strikes Back. ESB is good only for Dagobah scenes, Walkers in the snow, and the Vader fight with the revelation. Everything else is kind of boring.
Based
Frick OT manbabies
No you're not the only one. Shit was boring as frick. I didn't know about the x-wing dog fights until the N64 games (probably the only non-boring part of the OT).
George Lucas really understood this and he focused on the right stuff in the prequels - mainly the Jedi lore. That shit kicked off an entire industry. KOTOR wouldn't exist without the prequels.
>KOTOR wouldn't exist without the prequels.
October 1, 1993
They weren't making an AAA video game to promote a shitty fanfiction book, dumbass
>muh vidya
kek, KOTOR is a walking simulator
I read these comics, the art was terrible and KOTOR has only taken lore elements like events and names of characters, everything else was based on both OT and prequels.
Honestly this is a very strange opinion, maybe you should speak to your psychiatrist before posting again
I have no problem watching old movies but the OT really aged badly
I guess you're one of those people who thinks a movie from 2008 is old.
You need to understand the cultural and historical context of the Original Trilogy (and watch the theatrical cuts) to really appreciate them. I did a OT marathon the other day. The soul is unmatched to me. Prequels aren't terrible but they don't match up with the picture painted in the OT and that's a significant problem, in my opinion.
>You need to understand the cultural and historical context of the Original Trilogy
No you don't. They're just quality films that don't need a semester of college to enjoy and appreciate.
The irony is that X-gen brain-rotters claim that the prequels are "boring". So don't give me any of that ADHD shit. You guys have it too. probably (the gay version)
Listen most people ITT will rationalize their simple position: "consume current thing, love current thing".
Don't give a shit about it, none of them will ever forward a point because they don't have any.
have a nice day.
you're pretty much the only one
