To be fair, rewatching G1 a lot of it is garbage outside of having phenomenal voice acting. And the less said about Armada and its sequels the better. I don't know about the stuff that aired after.
I’ve been rewatching every Transformers series and honestly coming back now I never realized how much better beast wars is than everything else it’s the only one I genuinely enjoy watching now gonna watch beast machines next
I've said it before, but Beast Machines is a very well-written show, especially for a kid's show. The problem is it does this at the expensive of practically character assassination of BW fan favorites.
The word "Butoden" comes from the DBZ video games, which were million sellers in Japan, and had come out just before G Gundam.
Some anon claimed that then word Butouden was un fact used in real martial arts textos, but I couldnt find any source. All the Google results are either for DBZ ir G Gundam.
It’s possible Bandai used the term intentionally, but doesn’t change the fact the show itself have almost nothing in common. The martial arts motif is a very secondary theme in DBZ, while in G Gundam the whole universe revolves around it. The Hyper Mose might look similar to a Super Saiyan at first but the way it’s executed is very distinct.
>The martial arts motif is a very secondary theme in DBZ
Huh? Ok, maybe in Z where it was already all about beam blasts, but the original Dragon Ball was very martial arts-oriented, what with the tournaments and all.
I have to say, I liked G Gundam, but I expected more from the martial arts aspect of it. It's not really all that different from DBZ, in fact I thought it had way less fighting than I expected. Like, I expected more of the robots punching and kicking each other, but it was more about doing signature moves and using weapons... it makes sense, they're still gundams, and I know they tried to still make it about martial arts, but it fell a bit short IMO, with most of the fights being just villain doing some special attack, and then domon doing God Finger and ending the battle, with barely any actual sparring. DBZ might have power level bullshit but it does have a lot of coreography and punches and kicks.
I only like Beast Wars

Are you including the Japanese sequels into this?
Actually no, are they worth watching?
Like BW2? No not really
I knoe some people like Victory and Masterforce. They're kinda like proto-Brave from the little I've seen. Never heard much about Headmasters.

But that's when the TRANSformer shit started

I'll have to report to jannies if it gets too much...

>r/incels
>I only like G Gundam for the racism. I've not actually watched it because DBZ is for hispanics and Black folk.
you only act racist because you are a zoomer with no personality
Sounds like DBZ has a lot in common with your mother
Despite the meme, G has nothing to do with DBZ. The core concept is from Street Fighter, mixed with wuxia and world cinema.
