I plan on getting into acting after I get my braces off.
But I know nothing about the industry, so I got some questions.
How do you get into acting?
Is there good money in it when you are just getting started? Can you make it big without getting into hollyweird? Without sucking dick?
Tell me a little bit about it please.
Thanks

    >How do you get into acting?
    You go to auditions.
    >Is there good money in it when you are just getting started?
No, unless you are either very talented or very lucky. You'll very likely have to get a job to cover your expenses, specially anything with flexible hours or shifts so you can attend your ambitions in acting.
    >Can you make it big without getting into hollyweird?
Have you ever seen or heard of an actor or actress who "made it big" but didn't spring from Hollywood?
    >Without sucking dick?
You will very, very, VERY likely will at some point have to choose whether to maintain your sexual integrity / dignity, or sacrifice it for your dream. The only way you can escape this is if you have once-in-a-generation acting chops, or your family is very wealthy and can use their money or >influence to get you roles.

My advice? Remember that for every actor/actress that made it, 10,000 didn't. Do you -really- think you have what it takes? If not, you better start studying hard and get a career instead, because the odds are stacked against you.

What about doing it as a hobby? What if I dont care for money but love acting and movies

Oh, then just go to your local university / college that has a filmmaking career or check for related ads online, and see if they're looking for actors do it for free since they need that a lot since they can't really pay for them.

If you want to get into film acting specifically, you can check Craigslist or whatever to see if there are any student filmmakers looking for actors. Unless you live in a decent sized city, there probably aren’t any legitimate talent agencies around.

Impossible for you. You're too good. Instant Star! You gonna turn down 10 million a pop? Give me a break Johnny Boy!
I want you to star in all my movies. You've got it all - looks, brains, wiener girth.

If you step one foot outside for the rest of your life you will be fricked to death by gorgeous women fans.

Hobby? Your grandpa's ghost would strangle you in your sleep, kid! The universe demands you take the stage!

DM me and I'll transfer the money right now.

I think the first question you should ask yourself is “why do you want to be an actor?” Are you passionate about developing your craft? Do you just want money? There are easier ways to make money. Do you want people to love you? People will hate you as much as they love you if you live in the public eye. Do you want the validation- for someone to tell you that you’re special? You are special.

    >How do you get into acting?
You can start by recording yourself reading monologues to get a feel for it but that will only take you so far as acting is reacting and you’ll need a scene partner eventually. Find an acting class and sign up or find a local theatre production and volunteer your time.

    >money?

If you live in a city that has tv & film productions you can probably get work as a background actor but that doesn’t pay much. If you want to act on a TV show or movie, you’ll need to join the screen actor’s guild. Most people here will tell you it’s impossible and you shouldn’t waste your time. I think if you’re passionate about something you’ll pursue it your whole life and eventually find some kind of success.

Btw what do they actually teach you in "acting school/classes"?
I got a theory that good actors are made by living a shitty life and going through a lot of emotions

I learned how to stage fight in high school theatre class that was pretty cool

You mostly learn theatre technique. The only really valuable classes are ones that help you learn to audition better on camera.

What connections do you have that are already in the industry? If you don't have any connections to lean on, then you mainly need a lot of luck. You probably should pursue another job while you work on getting acting gigs, not many people can make a living just from acting (unless you already have money).

As someone that worked adjacent to the industry and talked to a lot of people at the bottom trying to get in this is what they said.
    >if you aren't related to someone already in the industry, or have some kind of connection to someone involved then it is tough to get in
    >you have to move to LA which is an awful place to live unless you already have money
    >you have to work on your social media presence as so many actors and industry people talk about this all the fricking time
    >so how many twitter, IG, or TikTok followers you have is something they actually look at a lot
    >Twitter a bit less now after all the Elon stuff, but they still look at it
    >they look at Youtube followers too but it is treated a bit different
    >LA is littered with people trying to make it on Youtube and other social media platforms as well but some Hollywood people don't like YT because they feel it is threatening and do their best to downplay YT
    >try to find out who casting directors are and get to know them as they are some of the most important people that actually get roles for actors
    >go to as many auditions as you can
    >still helps to be hot and good looking despite what Hollywood tries to outwardly portray themselves as
