I really liked it but thought it was abit weaker once they got stranded on the island. I'll definitely check out his other movies now.
The Square was one of the best movies I've seen, but this one felt mostly pointless and just dragged on and on. Even the cinematography was a big step down from The Square and it also didn't have the subtle humor from that film.
Commie kino
The commie character is inefficient, lazy, careless about the workers under his supervision and ultimately the culprit for the tragedy that ensued. It is anti-commie kino.
The pacing of the movie was bad, generally in a movie the stakes increase as the story progresses, as does the speed events happen. You can deviate if you know what you are doing, but everying from the island on just felt flat and uninteresting.

It's a comedy of manners and also a brutal indictment of human nature regardless of class- in fact, middle class and poor characters are shown as greedy and flawed.

I thought that was a timeskip to a point where one of them came back to tell them about the elevator and he just up and full sprinted to it to escape his hellish situation
Dont get the anons posting about it being pozed, but what I dont enjoy is how his films have no main character to follow. Sqare kind of had that main guy being somewhat competent and likeable, but this model guy, best way I can put it he was really homosexual(tbh he was a male model) and hard to watch him frick up all the time
