I remember when this show was just an internet rumor. Now it's literally coming out September 2nd, this Friday. I'm really hyped. It's crazy how fast time flies. I hope it's as good as I hope it is.

I will stand with her and fight
Same here anon, I'm in love. September 2nd is going to be the start of a new romance lol
I'm certainly standing at attention for her if you know what I mean 😉
She is fricking perfect
Will there be booba?
Why doesn't post her perfect ass and legs from that horror movie
I can't wait!
Yes and?
She's really beautiful in an elven kind of way, honestly really good casting.
I know what you mean, she has a sort of delicate flower look to her.
I agree. She is beautiful. I honestly feel kinda bad that she is in such a shit show. Of course she's probably getting paid millions but still. I almost want to check her kinography to find stuff she was in that is actually good.
I understand the frustration at not getting a 100% faithful adaptation of the Silmarillion, but this frustration is totally irrational. There is no other timeline where this happens. It is impossible. There is no such thing as a show that is 100% faithful to its adapted novel, ESPECIALLY the most expensive show ever made.
(You)
Agreed
It is all but confirmed that she is going to be the main character in the show right?
I hope so
didn't they literally confirm it?
You couldn't turn the Silmarillion into a show because nothing fricking happens in the Silmarillion. Its just an endless list of characters being introduced who never do anything except for "learning how to craft beautiful gems under the stars"
>in such a shit show.
there's no point in hating the show before watching it.
>I almost want to check her kinography to find stuff she was in that is actually good.
st maud and dracula with claes bang are awesome
>Dracula
Thank you anon, so annoying that people just moan about the mediocre third episode. This show was fricking kino and it’s lukewarm reception means bbc has fully committed to never trying to make anything decent again. It was pure kino. Even the iffy third episode was kino in how it went a bit off the rails
I can't wait to see the black representation in the LOTR series with a diverse cast.
OH LAWD DEM RANGZ
I cant believe its already September i remember when the first trailer came out in march and rings of power seemed like something very far away
super excited
>Now it's literally coming out September 2nd
Great, so I will live to see the diversity vandals rape tolkiens work and world while pretending they are the good guys. What fricking joy. I'm not watching this fricking trash.
All I can say is give the show a chance. They've done several early screenings for Tolkien fans, people of importance in the community, and they ALL love it. I think that speaks for itself. The show will be out September 2nd, that's this Friday, just hold off on judgements until then, and you can watch it yourself. I honestly think it might surpass the Jackson films, which frankly weren't perfect adaptations anyways.
>Just try shoving pine cones up your ass
>All my friends have tried it and they liked it
>Experts say it's good for you
>Hold off judgment until you try it
I haven't hear a single reason to actually like this shit outside of corporate approved speach. Is like everyone is saying the exact same shit, like they don't want to anger Amazon and lose access.
7/10 made me reply, kinda obvious though
>I'm not watching this fricking trash.
of course you will watch it. You wouldn't be here otherwise.
>of course you will watch it. You wouldn't be here otherwise.
Why would a Tolkien fan a) not shit on your abomination or b) then support said abomination by watching it. There are few things I would like to watch less than Tolkiens world re-imagined by far left racists.
>far left racists
lmao take your meds
What would you call them? They are obsessed with race, gender, and state enforce social equality.
>Equality is racist
wow... the absolute state of chuds
youre the same as people who are "disgusted" by trannies but then spend 10 hours a day on /gif/ posting about their disgust in every troony thread
Are these actual shill threads or are people sarcastically imitating the shills?
See how quickly you can get banned in them. Shill threads are guarded.
>how can people be interested in a show that i'm also interested in but can't admit due to identity reasons?
IT IS SHIT
They are not adapting the second age at all and is basically BAD Fanfiction.
Honestly, I was kind of wary at first, I'm something of a Tolkien superfan, and I thought this would be another Jackson trilogy - gobbled up by people who don't know any better, but NOT true to Tolkien's work.
But everything about this show is really looking right. The casting for Galadriel especially is PERFECT. The soundtrack is great. The leaked footage from today is charming and VERY well written, it drips with Tolkien influence. Every lore master who has had a screening has come away impressed. The budget is there for something that is on fleek in every shot. This really has the makings of a show that is going to hit different, not just be another one in the crowd. It comes out this Friday, September 2nd, so it isn't like you need to wait long, just watch an episode then and make up your own mind. Don't let other people influence how you think.
You didn't address shit regarding not adapting the second age. FRICK OFF YOU SHILL. This is garbage and I will meme the living shit out of it out of spite.
I am the "tolkien" nerd in my group of friends and I have been actively "preping" my normie friends by talking about all the awesome stuff they can adapt on this series (and never will because they don't have the rights to any of it but some scribles from unfinished tales) from the first to the second age, like the war of wrath, the fall of Gondolin, The fall of numenor, Elrond and Elros decision, etc etc.
They have SKY HIGH expectations and watching them b***h about the bad writting and horrible adaptation is going to be hillarious, like watching my normie friends slowly losing it on the last 3 seasons of GOT.
Should I watch the films first or will I be fine going in blind?
I would actually recommend NOT watching the films. They are good for what they are, but they don't truly capture the spirit of Tolkien. If you're going to jump into Middle Earth, this series is actually a great place to start, because it is at the beginning of the story. If you had time, you could try reading the books, but they're really long, and the show comes out September 2nd which is this Friday, so you'd end up half way through an old story when you're starting a new story. Just hang tight for Rings of Power to debut on Friday, and then once the show wraps you'll have the "sequel" waiting for you in the books.
Nice, will do.
I will be more likely to be able to get though the films than get though half the book before friday though
IT IS GREAT
They are not adapting the second age at all and is basically KINO Fanfiction
Why do half of the replies in this thread sound like Amazon shills?
chuds are copying comments from reddit. Standard chud tactic.
Frankly, I am insulted by this accusation. I am just a regular poster who is pumped for RING OF POWER, which should be premiering on Amazon Prime.
I'm so excited for The Rings of Power! I've been a huge fan of the Lord of the Rings movies for years, and I'm really looking forward to seeing the new take on the story. I'm especially interested in the new characters that we'll be meeting, and I can't wait to see how the story unfolds. I'm sure it'll be an epic adventure, and I can't wait to see it!
Same. I honestly think it's going to blow the movies away, the budget alone is so much larger.
And it's so diverse and vibrant....and it challenges gender stereotypes even if it requires totally ignoring the source material. Not like anyone actually read that anyways, should be fine.
I'm so excited for "The Rings of Power"! I was skeptical at first, but the more I read about it, the more I'm convinced that it's going to be a great book. It's about a group of friends who find a magical ring that gives them the power to change the world. I can't wait to see how they use their new found powers to make a difference.
It's actually not a book, though it is based on a series of books, it's a television show on Amazon Prime which will be debuting this Friday September 2nd.
> It's about a group of friends who find a magical ring
It funny that you mention friends; Amazon has this cool feature called "Watch Party". With it, you too can embark on a magical journey with your friends from around the globe!

ironic shilling is still shilling
then tell chuds to stop.
if it was real, you wouldn't have chuds making those posts to desperately prove it's real in the most lazy attempt to do so.
I'll admit, when I first heard about "The Rings of Power", I was a bit skeptical. After all, what could a show about rings possibly offer that other shows haven't already? But the more I learned about it, the more excited I became. And now that it's finally here, I can say without a doubt that it was worth the wait!
"The Rings of Power" is an epic fantasy adventure like no other. It follows the story of four young friends who find themselves in possession of powerful magical rings that could change the course of history. With their new found powers, they must band together to stop an evil sorcerer from taking over the kingdom.
This show has everything you could ever want in a fantasy show: richly detailed worlds, larger-than-life characters, non-stop action, and enough twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. If you're even remotely interested in fantasy stories, then you need to check out "The Rings of Power"!
If you're anything like me, then you were probably first introduced to the world of J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth through the Lord of the Rings movies. While the films are amazing in their own right, they don't always stay true to the source material. This is where The Rings of Power comes in.
This new Amazon Prime original series is a prequel to both The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and it looks like it's going to be much more faithful to Tolkien's work than Peter Jackson's films were. I for one am really excited for this show, because it means that we'll finally get to see some of the things that were left out of the movies.
One thing that I'm particularly looking forward to seeing is an exploration of Sauron's backstory. In the films, Sauron is just presented as an evil bad guy with no real motivation other than wanting to rule over all of Middle-earth. However, in Tolkien's novels we learn that Sauron was once a good guy who was corrupted by power and turned into the dark lord we know today. It'll be interesting to see how this is portrayed in The Rings of Power.
I expect to love Elrond and Durin’s bromance the most. Very excited for Gil-Galad and Elendil as their actors just seem to completely get it 1000%.
Anxious about the identity of Halbrand (please just be an original character) and the Stranger (please don’t be Gandalf). Khazad-Dûm looks epic. The soundtrack slaps.
This show could really be the kind of thing that ushers in a new wave of readers. God I want to see that happen so bad.
I've heard a theory that the Stranger is a balrog and will only take on his evil form in the finale... I don't think its true though because the stranger theme from the soundtrack sounds too heroic and happy
OH LAWWWWD DEM RANGZ OF POWAH
She really is so very pretty. Not in a noble elven princess of divine blood kinda way, more like the daughter of an English peasant women with loads of recessive genes, who lucked out and got knocked up by the lord of the manor. I'll be sure to tune in every week and hang on her every word!
LEAKED SCRIPT:
"Mmmmmm," Galadriel moaned as Sauron's huge, veiny wiener slapped against her face. "I love the way your dick feels, Sauron," she purred, licking her lips. "It's so big and strong."
Sauron grinned wickedly as he continued to dickslap the beautiful elf queen. "You like that, do you?" he growled. "You like feeling my power over you?"
"Yes!" Galadriel cried out. "I love it when you take control of me like this! I can't resist your touch!"
Sauron chuckled darkly as he quickened the pace of his dickslaps, making Galadriel moan louder and more passionately with each smack. Suddenly, he pulled his wiener away from her face and shoved it deep into her eagerly awaiting mouth.
Galadriel moaned around Sauron's thick member as she sucked him off expertly. She loved the taste of his cum, and she could feel herself getting closer and closer to orgasm just from sucking him dry. Finally, she felt Sauron's wiener twitch inside her mouth and she knew he was about to explode… but instead of cumming inside her mouth like she wanted him to, he pulled out at the last second and released his hot load all over her face and chest.
It's pretty funny to see the massive diminishing returns there seem to be in filmmaking. Compare this show side by side to the mandalorian and you'd assume mandalorian is the expensive one since more effort goes into the costumes and makeup. Both are shot in soundstages with backgrounds added in digitally
