I still miss it a lot. Did you play? You did you play if so? Who would you liked to have seen added?

I liked to be Mr Fantastic myself. Thankfully I got them before they got delisted from the game. That was weird and a load of bullshit. Probably the first sign of the end.

Miss it all the time. I heard rumbling of a private server, but none have popped up yet. Still miss running into Midtown and Franking it up spraying so many bullets.

Yeah I saw that someone was doing SOMETHING but there was no way of getting enemies up. I really wish marvel would just relaunch it for real.

I liked that shitty PS5 game a lot, before it was apparent they'd never update it. Kate Bishop was breasts in it.

I tried this game on a whim shortly before it died and it was a huge shock to me just how good it was. The developers really went above and beyond in making sure that every single character's unique powers were accurately portrayed. Jumping around with Hulk in this game felt so fricking good.

Yeah, it was actually crazy how they managed to make the heroes all feel like they should. I ended up having quite a few characters by the end, (even paid real money for a couple premium costumes) and it really had the right kind of feeling to it. Even just hanging out in the game hub felt good. It was a better ultimate alliance than 2/3rds of the ultimate alliance games.

It's unironically better than Diablo IV lmao.

Yeah, it sucks that it went down. I enjoyed Juggernaut's momentum gameplay probably the most, but I dabbled in a few characters. If only they'd bring it back

i missed out on this. what was the gameplay like? was it like a reskinned ultimate alliance or something different? would’ve loved to have played this.

It had some elements of a MUA but was probably closer to a Diablo clone. But a good Diablo clone. You could take your version of the heroes down skill trees to match your own play style and the powers all felt really good. You needed to collect gear and loot and every so often you'd get an infinity shard which acted as the premium currency and the game was surprisingly generous with them. You could earn enough to unlock a character or costume in only a few days of serious play time or if you were more casual maybe a week. And there was a lot of places to go and stuff to do.

I did see that a bit ago but haven't been following too closely. Hopefully they can manage to make some real progress and get it up and going for real. Between this and the City of Heroes revival it'd be a great time.

I dunno if Disney/Marvel would be like the city of heroes guys and be like,"oh cool yeah, you got our blessing". Considering it's also a major ip I'm expecting a major lawsuit hammer when they get wind of it.

Oh no. They would be super israelites about it. The best thing for this would be to let it lay low and hope they don't smell money.

I played, but not nearly enough. I got distracted with other games that I can still play now. I tried to get my other friends to play but it was always "We should play some time" and not "Let's play now". Now I can never go back.
God, I just thought we'd have more time

I played as a lot Daredevil and Spider-Man early on. I was really excited when they added Silver Surfer because I barely ever get to play as Silver Surfer in anything but I still barely got to play as him before it shut down.

He's a secret character in the original Ultimate Alliance. That game's still a lot of fun. Though it's a real b***h t he window to get the deluxe updated version was so short lived. I mean I still enjoy the PS3 version but you know. Man I really just want a new game to really capture the true marvel comic vibe. I really wanted to like 3 more than I did but just... I can't.

Midnight Suns was the closest to that for me recently. The roster is kinda limited but it does a good job of letting you actually hang out with the characters.

This game honestly confuses me on several levels. I actually dig the idea of a marvel styled x-com type thing but.... cards are a bit eeeeeeh, and it kind leans a bit more on the goth side than I might like.

All fair, but I like deck builders, goth girls, and self-insert custom characters so I'm eating pretty good with this game.

I played a little bit but quit. Those kind of games are too overwhelming for me if I join in later on in its life because there's so much different shit going on.
I'm surprised the data had never been scraped and an offline pirated version wasn't made.

It was one of the last Marvel licensed games I saw that had lots of fanservice in it. The female characters were very curvy and it had all the classic skimpy outfits readily available. Everything after this has been that feminist Disney era.

Not EVERYTHING. To MUA3's credit they were allowed to use the more heroic outfits.

Wasn't that around the same time as Marvel Heroes? I remember those games as being of the same era, started development before the big Disney purge so they probably managed to sneak through

I remember Rocket Racoon was my premier Summoner character. Guy could have a permanent Groot who can be upgraded to be stronger, can have multiple turrets and cannons and you can stack that with all the items that also summon monsters and minions. Rocket could literally have a small army fighting for him!

Why are good original superhero games so rare these days? Infamous is fricking dead because they decided to move it into a real life city with a boring protagonist. Prototype killed itself in the sequel.

I would really love a superhero RPG, you decide the power-system you utilize for combat and it has some skills for crafting gears to customize your outfit / armor for your costume and the ability to join different factions for different endings. Add in some waifus, too I guess.

Wasn't Cyclops basically "shoot, shoot, and shoot a bit more?"

Same way Wolverine was just 'stab, stab, slash, slash, stab.' Not exactly characters with any variation to their gameplay, which is strange because they were the exception rather than the rule since a lot of the characters were pretty damned varied with their move sets.

Cyclops was pure fun to play as. They really nailed the stunts he was pulling off in the comics like bouncing his punch beams off every enemy or decimating all the mobs on screen with a wide optic blast or just piercing through shit with his ruby eye lasers. Goddamn, I miss this game.
