Did they? Seemed like it was a miniseries.
It originally aired as a miniseries but they built a lot of elements into it to stretch it further. They also had a special website up laying out all the main artifacts from the miniseries but there was some guy in the show the introduced lots of other artifacts and a different group of villains. Their story doesn't end in the show even though the main mystery gets solved.
Liked this show better when it was called Jake 2.0

Show is best when Chuck can't control the intersect, becomes alright when he CAN control the intersect, then Morgan has the intersect and it completely shits the bed, and the finale is genuinely terrible and ruins the previous seasons.
Watch season 4 for based Volkoff. But don't watch season 5.
Watch through season 3 at most. I didn’t like the gimmick change in 3 but still liked the season well enough.
Season 4 is mostly bad, season 5 is terrible. Of note the final episode is so bad you’ll be mad.
It takes a heavy dip towards the end of S2 when chuck becomes Jason Bourne
That said there are still some fricking kino episodes in the later series and if you enjoyed S1&2 then you will indeed 3/4/5 but beware that the quality in some arcs is lacking

Show was 10/10 kino when it was Chuck as the nerdy database guy using nerd ingenuity and knowledge to save the day. Degrades to decent when he gets actual superpowers. Still fun up to the end.
Really glad it ended before wokeness really became a thing.
It’s worth watching all the way through. I especially liked the final episodes and conclusion. There are good episodes with Summer Glau, the C.A.T. Squad, and a few cameos. Good music in every episode.
