it's unironically a good godzilla movie but ruined by japanese acting and shonen-tier tropes. feels like they spent most of the budget on the cgi and soundtrack, maybe one or two good actors as well
>critics since the 60s complain the plot in godzilla films suck dick >finally get one with a decent plot >wtf is this soap opera shit i wanna see 2 hours of godzilla fighting kong and mothra
The entire film's ethos is to be the anti-Shin because of how terrified they were of trying to follow up the first big Godzilla film in a generation.
So there couldn't be Apples to Apples comparisons of any beat.
He talked about it a bunch. From literally setting the fight on sea to avoid comparisons to Shin Godzilla's fight on land. Everything was done to avoid trying to be like Shin Godzilla.
As a long time goji fan it's super amusing to watch normies talk about Godzilla like they can even have a valid opinion. Die hard goji fans loved this movie. Toho got theirs and there will probably be more to come. Even with monsterslop shitting up the IP life is pretty good as a Goji fan in 2024.
funny how Cinemaphile started hating on this as soon as it started streaming. back in december it was the greatest godzilla movie ever

>acting meme
Cinemaphile thought it was on to something when they thought it will catch on
funny how the fomo crowd stopped talking about it :'(
Maybe it's cus people with actual taste now have access to it.
Shin Godzilla is still peak Zilla.
>Shin Godzilla
Nah
>people with actual taste
>NEET pirates
"No!"
>!
And don't quote nobody
>newbie
>N-nobody cares about my shitty forced meme that never took off and everybody forgot about must be the newbies
you already lost, kid
your trips weren't even as good as mine
Kino but not one of the absolute best Godzilla movies. Maybe in my top 10, I'd have to rewatch it.
>OP status
Filtered
>OP's ass status
Assblasted to space by minus one godzilla's atomic breath
>what if we make a soap opera Godzilla flick
Terrible

>wtf is this soap opera shit i wanna see 2 hours of godzilla fighting kong and mothra
it's like shin godzilla with a coat of 1940s, it doesn't do much new
It's not "like Shin Godzilla", it's that both Minus One and Shin Godzilla are basing themselves on the same film.

You literally don't know anything about anything. I know this because I know anything.
He talked about it a bunch. From literally setting the fight on sea to avoid comparisons to Shin Godzilla's fight on land. Everything was done to avoid trying to be like Shin Godzilla.
Knock yourself out.
You're on spice bro.
Black person you're moronic.
That's how things seem when you're on spice. Quit it bro. It's not funny.

If you dislike the monsterverse you aren't a goji fan
>If you dislike the monsterverse you aren't a goji fan
The opposite actually.
hoes mad
Both Minus One and Godzilla x Kong were kino.
It was good but I understand being offput by Japanese overacting.
