Why did this need to be another thread instead of just attaching it to any one of the Adventure Time/Fionna and Cake threads that already exist?

Op is mad he got beat

      Nah it just sucks because

      >he was legit mysterious, intimidating and interesting in his first couple appearances, and they ruined that at the end by making it clear he was just an incompetent anal-retentive butthole who constantly gets his ass kicked, and is also just plain fricking stupid
      >in the beginning he was fricking RIGHT, Prismo was breaking the rules of his job and he WAS given unfair favortism. Scarab deserved to be praised at first. Then he became a hypocrite who slacked on his distress calls exactly like Prismo. And the Boss infantilizes him on the phone rather than acknowledge Scarab's legitimate complaints, doesn't even bother to see him in person
      >I fricking ASSUMED the Scarab was a character with nuance who wasn't literally evil, but rather was just a stiff unfriendly professional who was just doing his job. But no, let's just make him evil and remove all elegance from the character by having him throw a tantrum when things don't go how he wants.

      Fricking hell man

The tantrum fight at the end felt like a mandate to have some grand finally for the show. It contrasts with the epilogue where he somehow he got what is essentially an internship positions for Prismos job. I get the feeling there was a fight behind the scenes in having him be the nuanced antagonist or becoming a regular big bad that gets punched in the end.

The final ragefit in general was one of the worst parts of the finale. A lot wrong with it could have been avoided it it had just been cut.

It's similar to how in superhero comics there always needs to be a fight scene in every issue. They are not able to let a story take on a less mainstream path.

    >Does his job and still gets punished for it
    >Prismo gets away with it initially thanks to nepotism
I hate how painfully accurate this series is depicting office work life in third world countries.

He didn't tho. He got what he wanted, to be with Prismo.

        >to be with Prismo.
He wanted Prismo's job, which is ironic that he winds up being his janitor in the end.

        Its the ultimate humilation.

Imagine that one co-worker that you absolutely hate and only got his position bc of nepotism. One day you just happen to discover this coworker is doing some highly illegal shit so you plan to snitch.

Then, random bs happens they wind up getting off completely scott free AND on top of all that you get fired from your previous position and have to work under said coworker-them being your new boss...

He's literally an insectoid man, it says so in his name. They're big insect legs for hopping, not birthing hips. You wouldn't frick a hideous beetle man, would you?

I find it odd that one time we clearly hear him flying off-screen but then he never shows the power to fly anywhere else. Happens when he first enter Prismo's room in episode 4, the buzzing sound clearly implied he flew into the room

The whole chasing thing was dumb, it's enough to have them just hopping universes looking for the crown.
