I like Oshii's take on the franchise well enough, but it's kinda odd to turn a comedic manga into something so dreary and serious.

They didn’t make great use of the climbing. Could have been a lot better.
It works pretty well though, and there's many vertical sections in the later stages.
It could have been longer, if anything, with more levels, but the gameplay and mechanics are top notch.
They tried to makes something similar with the PS2 game on the Tachikoma levels, but they didn't reach the same quality as the PS1 game (different devs).
