I think we can all admit that a Legend of Zelda movie has a frick ton of potential to be great. So how do you not frick it up? Follow a game story line or start with something new? Who do you cast? Who directs?

>Who do you cast?
This shit has to be animated
Hunter Schafer as Zelda
Hunter is a man
have a nice day bigot
>Hunter Schafer as Zelda
Nah she’d be much better as Link (female).
I have the perfect cast for link
McKenna Grace as Zelda
that is all
Maybe as Twillight Princess Zelda. BotW Zelda is thicc.
McKenna Grace is too cute for resting b***hface TP Zelda.
It won't work.
>has a frick ton of potential to be great.
Not really. Very few aspects of what makes a game be "Zelda" would translate well onto screen.
True. It's not stopping the mario movie though.

I would like to respond to this thread with my own ideas but unfortunately I'll have to keep them under wraps as I'm going to have a breakout year in Hollywood soon with my self distributed indie feature and I'll be directing a The Legend of Zelda trilogy within this decade.
Godspeed anon
First, you get an art director that makes everything look completely unlike in any of the games save for some symbols. Also cast people that look nothing like the game characters. Now add some plot that ties it to our present day world, interdimensional travel and create some original characters from our world as sidekicks. Also add some references to 80s gaming like a room with a NES-mini in the opening sequence.
Timothee Chamalet as Link
Hunter Schafer as Zelda
Dave Bautista as Ganon
unironic kino
>Zelda played by a troony
I would hope to hell that Miyamoto would shut that production down
Die
Chalamet can't act for shit. Unironically garbage actor
really because every director wants to work with him, and all the modern great actors have nothing but praise for him
Then why is he so shit?
There could be a sex scene with Timotheelink and Hunterzelda
It needs to be animated for sure. Animation is the only way to properly capture the scope and essence of the games. Live action would be a jumbled mess that barely resembles the games. For the main voice role of Zelda I would cast Sarah Gadon. She is a trained voice actress and has tremendous range and has played royalty several times before. She likely would have been the top voice actress in the industry had she not also been blessed with incomparable beauty that led her into acting.
i plotted a movie of Zelda last year, it's a noir film, it starts right in the thick of it with tasteful flashbacks, that only last a handful of seconds when they happen, with a show don't tell style.
-adult Link steps out of the Temple of Time
-sees everything is of course in ruins and such
-walks out the castle gate and in a flash he remembers coming up to the gate as a child, Zelda and Impa flying away on horseback, being confronted by Ganon, and him gloating about entering the Sacred Realm when you opened the door of time
This has a load more potential to be terrible. Hollywood would make this one of the worst movies of the century if they greenlit this.
Gimme the green tunic or no deal. None of this cyan shirt bullshit.
>black zelda
>chink link
no thanks
> I think we can all admit
I think you need to go back to plebbit
>has a frick ton of potential to be great
No it doesn't.
Blue, green, or red zelda?
if you want zelda to be the center of the story, and a empowered stronk womyn who need no man, and link as a side kick thats what you will get in current year.
let it rest until feminism isnt a trend anymore.
Feminism hasn't been trendy since 2016, trans rights are the new thing.
Link will be a black ftm. Zelda will be a mtf
Keep 3dpd out of my vidya, israelite
Ezra Millers as Link
Hunter Schafer as Zelda
Casting is going to be difficult but sure it has potential
>So how do you not frick it up?
Don't let Netflix or Amazon touch the franchise, and there could be hope.
>So how do you not frick it up?
it had to have been made 20 years ago
