My first introduction to Nightwing was Lego Batman on the DS. And that haircut screamed chad energy to me.
Meanwhile you go to Bruce Timm cartoon and he's rocking a mullet and ponytail like gypsy homosexual he is. Insane
Wasn't necessarily Timm's decision on the ponytail; the Nightwing Costume has one of the fastest turnarounds in comic to animation(and movies, if you count Batman and Robin's costume). This design is from 95 and the show is in production in 96 to release 97.
Looks stupid. The feathers are ugly. Also, if you're going open hair cowl don't block the chin, and go up to the hairline.
Like this, the Renegade costume. This was cool.
Costume was cool but the context of the costume was dogshit >it's the nu52 >nightwing was just another Batman last time we left him >what should we do? >let's steal the plot of the Teen Titans cartoon >genius
The Renegade arc was during the countdown to Infinite Crisis.
They were going to kill Nightwing and needed a villain personal enough to him to bomb Bludhaven. With Blockbuster recently murdered, Deathstroke was the only real option.
Every issue of Batman, Detective Comics, and World's Finest Comics published between 1940 and 1968.
But if you mean modern stories, and Nightwing specifically, not Robin, there's not as much as you'd think, and most aren't very good. My favorite is probably the two-issues from the Tom King run right before Nightwing gets shot.
No I did specifically mean grown up Dick Grayson and Bruce Wayne. I know there aren't many stories. That really fricks with me sometimes. So many balls dropped. We could have great stories of each former Robin working with Bruce but what do we get instead? Random side kicks including Bluebird, Signal, Orphan Clayface. Man...
UtRH is pretty much the closest you get to it. The thing about Nightwing and adult Dick in general is that he's supposed to be his own person and hero with his own city and responsibilities. He only comes back when shit is really going down, but that usually brings all of the bat people so there's less 1 on 1 time. It takes very specific circumstances for it to just be Dick and Bruce
I hear you. Both Zdarsky Batman and Taylor Nightwing have done dynamic duo arcs, if you're reading the current runs.
Otherwise...
Nightwing: Rough Justice
Batman: Hush
Batman: Under the Red Hood
Batman: Court of Owls
That was a Batman Family story, not a Batman and Nightwing story. At least Hush had a specific issue dedicated to Bruce and Dick.
You could count any of the BatFam events if you're getting that broad. Knightfall, Contagion, No Man's Land, Last Laugh, Officer Down, Bruce Wayne: Murderer, War Games, etc.
>Random side kicks
well that's the thing, the whole point of making him Nightwing in the first place is he isn't shining shoes anymore. If he was constantly tagging along it's not special anymore.
There's a middle ground between being the sidekick who's attached at the hip and literally never showing up.
They've gotten better at it recently. Like, it's clear someone told Zdarsky to stop using Tim and start using Dick as the main support character since Gotham War.
I struggle to like Nightwing no matter the costume.
>t. Jason or Tim gay who could have their pet character consolidated into Grayson's and nothing would change
The only members of the Batfamily that belong are Bruce and Alfred.
that doesn't make any sense. They are different functions outside of being Robin and quite frankly neither could exist without Dick being an adult
Jason and Tim are both better and more interesting than Dick.
I miss when he was Nightwing and not the tumblr comfort character they draw porn of
There's nothing wrong with Nightwing's current costume, but I don't mind this one. The hair is a bit much though
I've always been a blue and black fan. But Red and Grey is winning me over

I forgot Batman and Robin was the first I ever saw nightwing with red instead of blue.
Nightwing is to women what Power Girl is to men. Focus on one part of their bodies and it gets memed to death.
poopoo and makes him look like a nazi

I like how bird like the mask is. But I disagree about the feathers. without them it's just some random chevron shape.

As someone who still likes 2003, can we please put it to rest.

>fujoshi outfit
The blue the red and the bird. It's just too much like a Thunderbird costume
Long as it's not the Arkham Knight suit, I'll take it.
90s Nightwing > Renegade Nightwing > Rebirth Nightwing
Then literally every other suit is shit. Especially anything with a bird logo.
Dark blue and dark red is a very bad color combination.
Get rid of the bird theme
can anyone recommend stories where Nightwing teams up with Batman?

Holy superfluous dialogue, Batman.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned Death of the Family. Not that I blame you.

i still like blue, with the blue Filipino Kali sticks.
compared to this, that is better by far.
I'm just glad no one has attempted to bring the gold back in some way. I still hate that Batman tried to do it.
The New52 update looked decent
Discowing is the best. Especially the modern variants that tone down the camp and make it black with blue and gold highlights.
>hating discowing
plebs
Needs some yellow to balance it out.
Red and blue sucks compared to black and blue
