Nothing they could do nowadays would seem out of place in an actual collider type show.
I thought when he was attacked Hollywood movies it was with the premise that even fans, just dumb hicks like us, can think of ways it could have been better, so you must really suck! I liked that because it was what I used to do in middle school at lunch table (including having a bully-nerd and a suckup minion-nerd (it was me haha!)). But it turns out he doesn't think of himself as a hick nerd throwing peanuts. It has gradually uncomfortably been revealed that he thinks his proper place would be writing these movies and directing them, telling Tom Cruise "No, not like that stupid! Over here"

It just dawned on me that I haven't watched an RLM vid in years. They did the same shit every lazy eceleb does. Ditch your main feature (you know, the one that involves effort) in favor of doing lazy "content" like streams, podcasts, or other shit that requires minimal editing and prepwork.

Mike's whole thing about old people has gone beyond a tired joke to the point where I honestly think he jerks off to those videos after they film the episodes.
For every review where they do an in-depth analysis of how the film was made, filmmaking techniques, the people behind it... etc, theres 20 videos of them just doing a lazy surface level discussion of the plot and film critic/journalists/fans reaction, or some attempt to replicate their jack and jill theory or push some stupid meme.
Also I think Shatner just completely dismissing them was an ego blow.
Who could take "in-depth analysis of how the film was made, filmmaking techniques, the people behind it" from them after space cop outed them as being less talented than the directors of the average botw movie?
