Yeah, it's confirmed in the last episode with the live action segments. The usual, 4 and 3 do get together, and at the end, confirm 5 is 2's wife. They play the whole thing trying to pretend it was 2 and 3 who get together, but they were just "old and confuse"... or were acting as such, there was another twist at the end.
I guess the logic is that once older, 2 saw on her what he saw on her sister. And well, it's confirmed he does get some "good years" at his teens at least.
The problem is he was never interested in 5 it was just randomly thrown in at the end like a consolation prize while Cree was perfectly available or single wtf
