I’m glad most of the replies to that braindead tweet from the show runner are shitting on him.
Hughie saw his ex gf get ran over by a supe. Homelander is basically the same level of threat when it comes to him vs starlight. Is it now toxic masculinity to feel the innate instinct to protect those you love? This’ll be forgotten in like 2 weeks but god damn this show is fricking annoying sometimes.
>braindead tweet from the show runner
?
But Hughie had one (1) scene saying the powers felt good which in The Boys means you're bad.
There is also the fact there's no reason to not want to have powers, Compound V has no drawbacks and only some of them like the psychic guy in the last episode suck, sure, but Starlight just gets to be hyper strong and control electricity but "uhhhh it's actually a huge burden Hughie I wouldn't want this on anyone you know".
Which is one of the biggest problems these "superheroes are uh.... bad??!" shows have. Why would someone not want to have powers?
My only counterpoint is that Starlight is completely fricking worthless and far, far less powerful even than the low level C-list jobbers we’ve seen.
>Compound V has no drawbacks
didn't they say that it causes death after 3-5 uses?
that's temp V, comp V is the perma one
>Compound V has no drawbacks
It can straight up kill you. That's the reason they're pumping it into newborns, they have a much higher survivability rate than adults
Even then,
Even if he's just like:
>"I want powers too. Because homelander is fricking gunning for me now, And outing him like you're doing is painting a bigger target on you and me"
>"Also, My boss can pop peoples heads with her mind"
Sure, Selfish for him to want to Not get killed by pissed off supes? Theres plenty of reasons for Hughie to want to take tempV.
And starlight could be concerned that taking an untested superdrug could kill him, Plus addiction plus all that.
She could be all "Hughie i don't want you to die and i want you to be safe, this stuff aint safe"
and he could be all "Neither's being around you!" or some shit cause he's coming down or high or whatever.
Im just glad theres a show that treats men like men have treated women for centuries.
israeli revenge neurosis
How so?
sorry
but huey is more effective against homelander than kimiko ever was
>sometimes
>kimiko
gigastacy that survived propa V already once
>hughie
betacuck that takes temp V like a nonce
Simple as
>V is stored in a creativity office with ampules laying around on tables and shit
Everything Seth Rogen touches turns to shit, maybe it'll be wise to stop bothering with this show
Why wasn't t the temp v hidden in a bunker? I thought they didn't want people knowing
>Erip Kripke's Supernatural was just as corny, but at least it was consistent
>Only difference now is that Seth Rogen added man sitting on toilet with anus gaping
>Everyone I talk to hates the Deep and his useless 10 minute segments.
I wonder if Kripke realizes that Rogen and his degeneracy are dead weight
>another episode where nothing fricking happens
>another episode that is just scene after scene of 2 people talking
Sick and tired of this show tbdesu
How did anyone think it was going to be different after season 2?
You forgot the part about Hughie getting powers also kills him
you moron fricking baiter
Women want drama in their relationship, so they imagine shit and project it and blame the man.
TV shows can't acknowledge this so they just go along with blaming the man.
Didn't she ask hughie to help her from homelander in the beginning of the third season?
Yes. but him having powers to do it would make her feel less special.
So glad I dropped this shit by the start of season 2. Not even worth hate-watching.
kimiko sits on my pelvis while starlight sits on my face
Hughie is using starlight as an excuse to juice up on compound V. It should had been obvious by his quirks when he is on/off the substance fricking autist.
>Only I can be empowered by literal power
Why not just say "oh no Kimiko has...le cancer and is dying but her super powers will give her super healing factor so she'd be okay if we gave her back her power"
>Doesn't grab enough V for everyone
I noticed this straight away when I saw it also. Imagine everyone in "The Boys" take a dose of permanent v in order to dispose of Homelander. I think it's very reasonable considering some of these supes live longer than 100 years.
>people still watch this shit after the "white genocide" line
You deserve everything that's coming for you. Seth Rogen is right to see you as Black person cattle.
It should have been dropped at the christian thing in s1 which is where I dropped it. I'm afraid if I go back I'll see I even gave it too much time
i wonder if maeve stays in prison to protect starlight
Don't forget the murderer thing. Where starlight murdered someone in s2
>Don't Save Women, Let Women Die!
Maybe we judged the show to quickly
Let me make this easy for you:
> Early life
>Kripke, who is israeli, was raised in the Toledo, Ohio,
It’s just baffling that a israelite would blatantly expose his agenda so easily.
a- train redemption arc
>you keep fricking us over
>but you said sorry about becca so its all good now
>gets constant second chances
deep redemption arc
>apologizes to starlight even saying she does not have to forgive him because what he did was terrible
>gets shit on for the rest of the show
>everything he does is mocked when he is actually trying to be a decent person
