Extremely minor character, he basically shows up, makes a big fuss and gets washed immediately. Bigger emphasis is on mihawk fight which is completely bastardized

He does use the pocket knife but it just looks so fricking bad in live action. Zoro acts like a complete b***h when he loses getting really pissy and goes from literally not giving a shit about Luffy to "you are my captain forever"

What you need to understand is that the "feel" of the show is not one piece at all, it's pirates of the caribbean
Luffy is Jack Sparrow (except his actor has 0 charisma)
Zoro is Orlando Bloom (grr I don't want to be here but I have to)
Nami is the girl if she was played by Zendaya (I'm spunky but serious and capable)
Usopp is the fat Chinese kid in spider Man, completely worthless other than the couple moments they deign to give him where oh no that guys gonna kill us - psych actually usopp sniped him from over there. Other than those couple moments he is just exposition man who goes "you wanna do WHAT"

This scene they actually tried to do really faithfully but again is ruined since anime does not translate to live action. Like I think in the manga nami has one hand on her face (since artists don't want to draw two hands) as she cries which they do in the show but it just looks so so unnatural like people do not stand/use their hands live that
Also Luffy's actor again is just so bad. He does the "zany" aspect of Luffy way too hard (like a tik tok adult catering to children and over emoting) and his "serious" face is just comically not imposing or threatening

To be fair, that's exactly what he is in the manga. I mean they still fricked up by not giving him his nose and the series looks like absolute shit, but Usopp is useless in the series 95% of the time.
