The real redpill is that Keanu was well cast because Jonathan Harker has always been the most boring character in the story. Going with an actor with lesser skill was a smart decision.

Yes in one way it's a a complete marvel. However, in a bizarre homage to most silent movies, it shits all over its source material in a way that's not beneficial. The ending where Drac gets the girl but he's good now doesn't work for me, as there's earned no redemption arc.

This movie is pure fricking dogshit. It's the worst Dracula movie by a longshot for the mere reason it pretends to be a proper adaptation of the novel, yet almost 60% of the movie is made up romantic drama gayshit presenting Dracula as some sympathetic b***hboy and it turns Mina Harker into an irredeemable cheating bawd. Still the only attempt to adapt the novel that includes Quincy Morris, the guy who actually kills fricking Dracula, so I guess it barely counts for something.
You’re right. Everyone points out Reeve but Oldman just as bad. His Count was so over the top makes think trying to compete with Nicholson’s Joker.
