Truly consoles are a plague upon gaming, like a Fallout low-int run IRL.
As a fan of the original games, I don't have much hope for it, but I'm interested to see why they would take the show back to the original setting when most Fallout fans haven't even played the games and it's totally removed from what people now expect from the series. Are they going to pay tribute to the original setting and incorporate elements from it into the story or are they going to toss it all out and do whatever they want?
I have a feeling the show will take place before the events of fallout 1. I fear it's just going to be a boring post-apocalypse following a group of survivors. Think The Walking Dead, but with a Fallout skin.
If it takes place too far before the first game there won't be super mutants around unless they do a retcon that they existed before the Master started mass producing them. Also potentially no Enclave unless they retcon some more.
lmao, is this even a question? >bimpoc mc wanders in the waste on the 3 exact same sets >white female sexo interest >some bs soap opera drama shat all over no one is interested in >some white male bad guy barely a villain
you can screencap this
No doubt it's going to be a huge mess, but I want to be there to see it.
Probably the best time for it to be set would be in-between fallout 1 and 2. So, super mutants are around and the enclave can make an appearance. Any later and it won't be a post-apocalypse anymore. The NCR tamed California between 2 and New Vegas.
I guess it's set after Fallout 2. There is a New California Republic flag visible in Vault 33
Yeah, if it's after the NCR was founded then it's going to be weird because they tamed the region it takes place in. It'll also basically be New Vegas the TV series instead of what people liked about the Bethesda games unless they change a lot of things.
The interesting parts of the Fallout universe aren't so much the post-apocalypse, as the parts where society is still holding on in some way, or in the process of rebuilding. I wonder if they'll grasp that.

so how will you cheer yourself up from the inevitable disappointment?
I'll watch it but I don't have high hopes for it, and I say that as someone who doesn't really care about lore.
Of course the third-worlders here like Nu Fallout.
>HATE NEWSPAPERS
>abrahamic religion is 3000+ years old and spread all across the globe
>200 years after le apocalypse no one knows what god is
who writes this shit?
just what i need in my escapist sci-fi fantasy setting, some fricking neandethal going off about jebus
>~~*bethesda*~~ fallout

...
those are just lore-accurate Fallout cars, they were made to look silly
Was that image made by AI? even the steering wheel is on the wrong side.
yep, and no one gives a shit
There's a three legged woman behind Vault Boy as well.
I hope they get avellone as a consulting writer
It's gonna be shit but honestly I don't have anything else to watch.

I'm not expecting much but this would be incredibly disappointing
I'm just curious as to when it is set. I really hope they do not retcon alot of the lore.

Will watch for frogfu.
Webm unrelated?
FrogFEET!
its just going to be twd but with a fallout veneer

Another Vault dweller, fish outta water protagonist? It's all so tiresome.
It actually makes sense for a tv show, since as the world is explained to him it’ll be explained to the viewer who may be unfamiliar with Fallout
Isn't the protag the guy that gets to say Black person in every movie? I'm in
>33
Of fricking course.
