cause lynch wanted delicious kyle lewds. but yeah kyle's paul honestly comes off slightly like a moron for first few bits trying to act like a 16 year old. though entertaining none the less
I was watching Spicediver earlier, and while Villememe’s films are “technically” better, the Lynch film is far more soulful when it gets things right. The ostentatious, baroque sets are generally closer to what I imagined reading the book, and while Austin Butler is a more professional actor his stock movie psychopath portrayal of Feyd just isn’t anywhere near as charismatic, memorable or weird as what Sting was doing. Also Chalamet and Zendaya absolutely suck compared to MacLachlan and Young.
Are those gay little voice guns from the book? One thing I will give the new guy credit for is that he acknowledges that some things just don’t translate from page to screen, and the heroes standing on a worm making pew pew sounds is one of those things.
why did they cast two mature looking men as paul and feyd? at least timmy and austin look boyish
Sting: SOVL
Elvis guy: soulless
Because they're kino. Frick off, DUNCshill.
sting was fricking horrid lmao. all the harkonnens were
I agree he's a shit actor but I've seen him twice with The Police and once with the orchestra and it was tight as frick.
they were all great. villains acting in an absurdly exaggerated way vs the straight-edged protagonist is Lynch's directorial style.
Based
Overacting and raw emotion > "serious" acting

wrong photo
they should have cast Kyle as Paul and 14-yo twink as Feyd, to make the final fight scene even more ridiculous and lacking in suspense.
Sting? More like Stink.
1984 has the most iconic main theme

Sean Young is wasted in this movie. maybe five minutes of screentime, it is a real shame.
not a chance
KWAB
Stewart finally had enough.
Kino
best Dune by leagues
also
Poor Emperor...
Mate it’s a terrible movie.
the open matte was also good in lynch's dune
why was he breaking the floor? lol
they also play a stock sound of bowling pins getting knocked down when it breaks LMFAO
More soul, character, and style than all of DUNC
>sting
>actor who played Elvis
Feyd being a rock star is a good interpretation of the character
Over an hour into this thread and not one comment about the bene saggerets on Jessica in the OP.
You homosexuals are beginning to worry me...
>Failed to kill him
>Gets killed
At least he went balls-deep into the fight.
I think Sting did a good job at portraying somebody who was a real threat. Too bad he had such little screen time.
Malcolm Mcdowell LOOKS LIKE THAT??????
I like both theatrical versions of Dune
||people who like 2000 are fricking delusional though||
