Someone who knows about board drama or whatever this is in regard to pls explain? Is this some code or inside joke?
Latinx
What?
When in doubt, assume spics. That's how DBZ took over Cinemaphile.
Do you feel threatened?
I would kill myself
can you do this for every major country? Like, what does the "British cartoon starter pack" look like?
Nonexistent besides some claymation
>Canadian cartoon "starter pack"
>Only two jokes about common tropes or occurrences, the rest are just examples
Are you an idiot?
Neither of those tropes are particularly accurate either. About half of the shows listed were made in Toronto and don't have McNeil or Tockar in the cast because they live in Vancouver. Paw Patrol is the most successful Canadian cartoon of the last decade. It wasn't made in Flash or Harmony.
>Paw Patrol is the most successful Canadian cartoon of the last decade.
And then probably PJ Masks right after
Oh shit that's actual French people ignore me I'm moronic
eOne is a co-producer on the show and pre-Hasbro gutting, had a huge presence in Canada. Though, that was mainly in adult live-action shows. I know the voice actors for PJ Masks are all Canadian.
I'm about to watch a Canadian cartoon right now. Frick off.
Now someone start posting Totally Spies lewds to troll OP.
>now be my personal army and lets pwn this guy le epic style!
no, were not reddit
Totally Spies ain’t Canadian
Quebeckers are leafs no matter how much they protest.
But Marathon Media is French
There's a bunch of the French in Canada.
A bunch of Marathon's shows, including Totally Spies (season 3+), were co-produced by Image Entertainment Corporation, which is a French Canadian company. I know the school they go to in Martin Mystery is supposed to be in Sherbrooke, Quebec.
I don't think they're involved with the new season, which probably explains why all of the voice actors are getting dumped for non-union ones.
>in fact of course
Canadian cartoons are really just bland. I think it's because there's nothing that really stands out about the country itself and it translates into the show. American shows at least have good humor.
There hasn't been a good cartoon in a decade.
>American shows at least have good humor.
lol no
There is no Canadian South Park, Canadian Simpsons (not zombie Simpsons), no Canadian Spongebob. The country just doesn't have talent and it certainly doesn't have humor. It just makes the equivalent of shovelware for American audiences and that's their lot in life.
Why should Canada directly rip off American cartoons?
See, that's your problem. You think of yourselves in America's shadow (because they always are and it subconsciously goes into the cartoons) and can't think for yourselves. Why is there no smash hit cartoons from Canada? It's just a cultural thing where they don't care enough to want to make hits like Americans.
>Why is there no smash hit cartoons from Canada?
Ed Edd n Eddy?
>Teletoon only aired Season 1
And? Didn't you want a Canadian cartoon that was popular beyond Canada?
>don't care enough to want to make hits like Americans
sometimes I wonder if you gays know how anything outside of America functions. Canada has had some great cartoons throughout the years but with our lack of population it was harder to get merchandise sales, not to mention every project was funded by government grants and once that money runs out if you're not turning enough of a profit you're fricked. Canada doesn't have any big animation channels or anything that can fund these sorts of things, we never had a cartoon network and everything like it is either American owned or owned by someone who deems cartoons as not profitable enough to invest significant resources in. Hell even in live action shows we've been suffering, CBC used to have some good shows but in the current day they barely produce anything, the only good live action Canadian shows have been letterkenny and schitts creek and those are both half a decade old at this point.
You realize they’re available in Canada right
canadian shows suck because the production budgets are skimmed so the managers get bonuses. its. that. simple.
Yeah, when was the last time a Canadian show was actually set in Canada?
I guess Turning Red, but that was funded by an American company and was a fricking Pixar movie. So, American hands made it. It also wasn't really about Canada. It was about the Chinese. Canada is always getting cucked.
>It also wasn't really about Canada. It was about the Chinese
>It was about the Chinese
Worse. It was about Toronto.
>I would kill myself if I could only watch Canadian cartoons
How are people nostalgic for this shit?
Started rewatching Storm Hawks to spite OP.
Somebody please slit my wrists so I can forget I posted in this thread.
I can't believe owen was in grojband too
What British examples are there? You already have an unrelated non-uk Irish one with your Ylva pic

3 episodes into rewatching Storm Hawks. The production values are more awkward than I remember, but I'm still enjoying it.
Just make a new thread
Stop bumping this shit one
>Ed Edd 'n' Eddy
A classic.
>Beast Wars
Starts off shaky, but very good overall.
>League of Super Evil
I remember liking it.
>6teen
It grew on me eventually.
>Class of the Titans
Never heard of it.
>Johnny Test
First season was fine. Got increasingly bad after that, though.
>Sidekick
I only vaguely remember this show, but not enough to recall how I felt about it.
>Total Drama Island
Very quickly overstayed its welcome.
>Grojband
Very repetitive.
Everytime I see an image of Johnny Test the fricking sound effect comes to my mind
I'm Canadian. I grew up watching YTV and Teletoon. I've never had Cartoon Network on my television.
