If we only believed things we personally experienced for ourselves, none of us would know very much. Even the most experienced, traveled, world-wise person on the planet hasn't seen anywhere near as much information firsthand as can be found in a local library.
But my friend, journalists aren't the only ones who have informed us about Columbine. There have been dozen and dozens of books written about it, from the perspective of psychologists, law enforcement experts, political scientists, historians, etc. It was an unprecedented national event that happened nearly thirty years ago and is extremely well-documented.
