At this rate they won't survive 2024.
Thank god.
I wish I had 4.23 million dollars lol
Stop being a homosexual OP, are we now acting like that's not a lot of money?
No it is not.
Why post this? You know it’s moronic to suggest a company with so little cash flow - which operates on monthly payouts for its product - is the same as personal holdings.
Considering they just lost almost a third of that in the last 3 months it's not a lot of money.
>are we now acting like that's not a lot of money?
>for one person, yes, it is a lot of money.
>for a company, no.
You have to take into account the salary of the employees, this also includes maintenance and cleaning, also the cost of electrical and water services, the cost of paper and ink, the cost of distribution, the money they must pay to maintain The copyright, the part that the bosses will surely steal, is very little money if you think about it.
t.has no fricking clue how anything works
have you ever considered leaving your mom's basement you tard?
For an international publishing company? It's critically low.
For a company making and licencing Hollywood tv and movies? It's fatally low.
I don't think you understand how this game works anon.
IDW publishes internationally?
Not for long.
Losing more than 20% of your net worth in a single year is the sign that a business is going under.
4.11 million dollars would be great
why is IDW worried they have 3.92 million dollars
they can still do a lot with 3.75 million dollars
Will this still be said when the company only has a million dollars of cash left?
Why not? They're doing great with half a million left
They have the horse show rights for more than ten years and they never did nothing good for them except for Pencils doing the art, No one ever talks about or makes art of the comic characters they made, You have to be really bad at that when even Gameloft's game is more popular than you.
>Gameloft's
Damn, I forgot about that company, have they updated Iron Blade yet?
Pencils moved to Canada at some point, but I don’t know what he’s been doing since then outside of the occasional update to the Bowsette comic.
>except for Pencils doing the art
Since when was that good?
The second and third arcs of the comic were great, but they soon moved to post-s3 status quo and beyond, that's the frickup.
I'm getting tired of bozos repeating the same news over and over, again and again, why don't you try to post this shit when IDW actually dies?
Gosh it has been 13 years guys, this sinking ship is a very slow sink.
Why post ITT if you don’t want to discuss the topic but rather the posters? Every anon can now use your post as a reply vector to bump the thread.
It's a slow death because this company doesn't hemorrhage enough cash to die quickly but has zero value for a buyout.
It has negative value since you would take on all their debt.
Anon, do you seriously think they've been getting any better?
I could save this company and hasbro single handedly and usher in a cross promotional renaissance leading to one of the biggest movies of all time.
They prefer to push DEI shit
Hey this guy gets it. Also bring back horror comics.
I wish this mattered to me but the mistakes in charge of Sonic IDW were literally survivors from the last time the Sonic comics changed hands so it's not like this disaster has a bright side, they will probably follow the next publisher too.
Why is it always sonic with you guys? when tmnt is the relevant IDW book, and is utter shit as everything IDW create.
>tmnt is the relevant IDW book
The fact I never see anybody talk about it tells me not a whole lot of people actually read it.
TMNT outsells Sonic
Because Sonic fans apparently read the Sonic comic and most TMNT fans don't even know they made a yellow turtle.
This. Before I saw the trade for Last Ronin (which I thought was literally the end of the comic), the last thing I remember from the IDW comic was Splinter becoming head of the Foot Clan.
>relevant
i dont think so. im not even a sonic gay and ive seen people outside of this website talk about the sonic comics. I wasnt even aware TMNT had a comic with them until reading about it here
Yet Sonic sells worse than TMNT
People really need to stop conflating online popularity with real world popularity. A few thousand terminally online autists can make any fandom seem substantially larger than it actually is.
How's the IDW Sonic comic going to end? Is it going to be cancelled on a cliffhanger like Archie? Or will it get a definitive ending like Fleetway?
It's supposedly party of the game canon, but also nothing that happens in it matters to the games.
They could easily just end it without a crazy cliffhanger or without some big closing event. Just end it on the current planned arc, nothing fancy.
Maybe that explains why Sonic barely appears, they know they have little time and decided to go to hell.
It certainly feels that way. They've definitely been throwing out a lot of one shots and specials as a hail Mary to drum up interest. If there was a final IDW Sonic issue, it'd feature a full panel of Whisper and Tangle kissing telling Sega to frick off.
lol you wish Ian was that daring. He's already on Sega's direct bank roll, he's not gonna burn bridges using his pets.
Ian’s not even on the book anymore. Evan’s steering the ship and has been for a while.
>He's already on Sega's direct bank roll
Is this what Iangays actually believe? Dude’s still a freelancer. Sega’s not going to trust him with an actual full time job.
>Ian’s not even on the book anymore.
Anon issue 66 and 67 still has ian's name on it he did not left the idw sonic team yet.
He says he's not currently doing anything with IDW. He would've had to do 66 and 67 months ago, and my guess is that he finished and submitted the Fang miniseries already and waiting for the next job opportunity if he's currently saying he's not on the book.
It can just be IDW has no plans since it does not have the money to write stuff over half a year in advance.
Sonic's been getting phased out of the comics for a while now since the writers don't want to deal with Sega's mandates.
Why are you posting old news? The link says it'd from september 19.
Imagine the Sonic fan rage if Ken Penders scoops the company up for cheap after bankruptcy and starts inserting his canon into the comics again
Sega wouldn't give him the license. They'd find a way to void the current contract if they could. If that fails they'll just send some yakuza members to America to pay him a visit.
They might not be able to. Imagine if IDW has a license to public Sonic comics for say 5 years. IDW goes bust, gets bought out by Penders (ignoring if he has that kind of money) and now has control of IDW's IP rights, including the ability to publish Sonic comics until the contract is up.
In that situation Sega might have some ability to veto creative decisions they don't like (depending on how the contract is worded), but they can't remove the ability for Penders/IDW to mess with Sonic until the time is up for renegotiation of the contract.
In that situation Sega would have to eat crow and wrestle with Penders for years, causing large amounts of Sonic rage.
You’re assuming there’s transferability to the license, almost none of them work that way.
this
It is very rare that a contract in the current era does not prevent this type of situation.
If he was in control like that, the most he could do is just bubble up the sonic characters and write his OCs for most of the pages. And even this would be hard to pull off as Sega still has veto on OCs.
What is the story with this Ken Penders dude?
It's a long drawn out story, look up a documentary on him via Youtube if you have the time.
Essentially Penders did some horrible stuff with inserting horribly boring OCs into the Archie Sonic run, was kicked out, counter-sued Sega claiming he owned certain elements of the strip and killed the Archie Sonic continuity. He now exists as a shadowy force occasionally throwing out DMCAs and keeping Sega's lawyers busy.
He is the last person Sega would ever want working on the Sonic series again.
Amazing. I don't know if I should like him or hate him. I'll watch a documentary on him like you suggested.
Penders doesn't have money to get his own comic off the ground let alone IDW in a fire sell.
He only got his "rights" because of Archie stupidty, Sega refusing to antie up, and a frick companies Judge.
and yet he has the funds to sue Sega multiple times whenever they try to do anything with echidnas
It doesn't take much funds to sue a company that doesn't fight back.
People tend to lose out because they can't keep up with how companies drag it out for years or launch just slightly dissimilar countersuits.
Archie's building was pick related when it occurred and Sega sure as frick wasn't going to fund their suits in the mist of tv popularity and 'PENIS PENIS PENIS" crisis.
Then you look at EA and they got Penders lawsuits thrown out every time. Sega can do whatever they want with Chronicles because of it but they choose to do nothing with it.
>General thread about IDW dying
>again
>sonic bait
>turns into a IDW sonic thread.
You guys are so predictable.
>TMNT "switching writers" after #150
>no other writer confirmed
>mini-series that was supposed to run alongside these last half-dozen issues got delayed until next year
>only other thing they've got going is the Roninverse, which is already floundering because it wasn't on-going material in the first place
If they don't declare bankruptcy by the end of the year, I'll be shocked.
Last ronin killed itself when it became about April’s dyke daughter. I bought the first 5 issue mini (which took a fricking year to release) and dropped it like a bad habit from their forward.
It was never supposed to go past those first 5 issues. Waltz took the half-formed flashback sequences drawn by Eastman and bloated them out into a moronic sequel/prequel just to explain how Mikey got his "iconic" coat at the start of TLR.
>April’s dyke daughter.
The comics industry just can't help themselves, can they?
She's not gay. She's dating a male cop.
This series being finished completely is the only reason I dont' IDW to die to immediately and even then I think it would probably move to another publisher
I couldn't care less about their current licenseshit titles
The trade of the new Usagi/TMNT crossover is out in January anyways so they'll still be alive by then to release that
What's up with all the cute media being serious deep horror murder bait?
Even my grandm is doing it, is starting to get old.
So the real question here is who will pick up the comic license once IDW bites the dust? Will the brits have another chance if Titan Comics picks it up? Or will Akira Yoshid- I mean uh, C.B. Cebulski use his nippon skills to grab that license for Marvel?
>Asking this about Sonic
TMNT is literally the most valuable license IDW still has right now
IDW would sacrifice Sonic, Godzilla, Horses, etc in a heart beat before letting go of the Turtles
Sonic doesn't mean shit in comics
Tmnt is not worth shit in general, every fan knows transformers was the main cash cow until IDW blew it.
Tmnt main book is shit and they are trying to exploit the last ronin, their only success in years.
>godzilla
They still had that ip? I'm actually surprised.
>Tmnt is not worth shit in general, every fan knows transformers was the main cash cow until IDW blew it.
Anon have you even looked at the charts at Comichron?
>Tmnt is not worth shit in general,
The Last Ronin is literally the best selling series they've released in over a decade
That doesn't mean it's good.
...which is more a testament to how fricking hard they shat everywhere.
>Tmnt is not worth shit in general, every fan knows transformers was the main cash cow until IDW blew it.
This is IDW TF fangirl cope, it literally sold less books than TMNT OR Sonic, even with constant spin-offs and alternate titles.
After the gay fifth turtle, the troony writer making the book from an action book into a slice of life, and wokenes in general, you're talking like if the book is something worth to give a damn, the last ronin is something completely different in that regard because is just an elseworld.
The IP of TMNT is worth a lot
Even after Campbell's frick-ups its still their best selling title on a monthly basis
Are we talking best selling *for IDW* who has a limited stable of books left to their name, or that it sells well enough each month to break the top 20 comics sold each month?
For IDW but it does well for the standards of publishers on the same level
Its not near actual heavy hitters like Saga or whatever Tynion writes these days though
>the IP
We’re discussing a comic license anon
Yes and as a comic license TMNT is still the most valuable of the bunch for IDW
We’ve circled back to you being wrong because outside of TLR almost three years ago now it isn’t.
So what the frick do you think is the most valuable license IDW currently has then?
Transformers, judging by sales.
>currently has
have you been sleeping under a fricking rock?
IDW LOST Transformers
Skybound has it now
Transformers under IDW has never sold as well as Transformers under DreamWave
None because IDW is dying in general, not tmnt, sonic, the horse show is worth a shit because IDW is a sinking ship, every IDW book is gonna die, no exceptions.
Star Trek otherwise known by nerd friends as "Das Booty b***hes" The TV Show.
>now it isn't
The fact that they're milking TMNT a lot with multiple crossover series' this year, a second ongoing, the Last Ronin milking, etc illustrates how much they're being dependent on it even compared to their other licenses
Then Star Trek
>last ronin is something completely different in that regard because is just an elseworld.
And it sucks now Thanks to April's daughter nowadays anyways.
Honestly surprised they still haven't jettisoned Godzilla considering the whole 'each monster needs to be bought seperately'.
If Marvel got the license, who would they put on as a writer for the series
Closest one I can think of is Cavan Scott, since he already did a story for IDW and is working on Star Wars comics
And of course, if he would get on writing him, time would tell when Wong is next
Get Dan back for more not Zonic stories.
It's more a question of who needs the TV licences badly enough . TMNT is nick is paramount? is what WB? Or discovery?
Disney has a cash crunch now so they pass.
Who's the next biggest? I don't think Image plays that way. Fantagraphics would pass. Maybe Skybound? Do they have the capital for that?
No way is Marvel/Disney gonna pick up Sonic unless they buy out Sega
My guess is either Dynamite or Dark Horse or some new company
My mom came into my room 30 minutes ago and told me we have no money, we're literally broke, now she's asking to tap into my bank account even though my parents owe me $18,300.
>being poor
have you tried being rich for a change?
Why do you think this is relevant to us In aCinemaphile thread of all things? I'm sorry I guess?
It is a IDWgay upset that others are laughing at their company dying and thus trying to distract the thread. Xe’s been making posts begging others to stop talking about this topic.
Say no?
Sell your parents into slavery.
this isn't the 1920s you can't just shanghai people away
Depends, will she give you blowjobs and play up the mommy aspect?
sounds like you're not getting your money back and you need to cut your already egregious losses
if only they monetized on the fanbase somehow
Get woke go broke
No IDW book is worth to give a damn, that's why IDW is dying, people are talking here as if tmnt is gonna save IDW, and we know that's not gonna happen.
Can we agree how the main tmnt sucks nowadays? I used to think it was the ultimate iteration of the Turtles, until they killed splinter, and Campbell ruined it for everyone with its self-insert deviantart fan splattered In the boo, the bajillion micro-series didn't help either.
It is a series that started out so good then crashed so badly. It never read the heights of #50 ever again.
Sega owns the IDW characters correct? They could easily pick and choose what they like to put in the main game or even continue the comics themselves
>or even continue the comics themselves
Does SEGA have a publishing division?
but does Sega want to assume the duties of comic publishing on top of their video game business?
Seems like it would be easier to license the comic out and rake in royalties without doing extra work, like they have been doing
Best you're getting is being a filler slot character for Mario vs. Sonic at the Olympics just like Sticks is now.
Damn
Why can't Sega just make their own publishing arm for their comics and possibly manga?
it's not like they lack the cash if they can waste it on shit like hyenas.
Because SEGA doesn't fricking want to
Do you even know how this industry works?
The publisher pays SEGA for the license, SEGA gets money off of license renewals, and the publisher gets money from sales of the actual book
SEGA already got their money from the deal, IDW just needs to make money for themselves on that end
I only ask because Sega Sammy is a massive company with several subsidiary's including a few media company's.
They're "massive" because Sega of Japan repeatedly bankrupted them and got bought out
Shit, maybe that's their plan for IDW
>thinking SEGA cares about comics
Dumbass
Company cares about what makes them money and what markets their produts, mutimedia shit like comics, manga, cartoons, anime, books and movies do both.
They already got their money from IDW paying for the license period
Managing an entire publishing division is just extraneous
You have to manage such things to make sure they don't DAMAGE the brand. These things don't exist without oversight.
Do you seriously fricking think they'd create a whole ass publishing division just for fricking Sonic?
If any other anon was arguing that, I'm not, I'd say there's probably a committee or something, I was just pointing out that they have a reason to care at least a little.
If they kept it entirely online and used it to promote their games maybe.
They'd have to keep overhead low, but if they're hiring 2 artists and Ian they shouldn't have to pay much.
Whether the higher ups would ever think it's worth the ROI is debatable.
Sonicgays think the world revolves around them.
I could believe that if only because Sega is fricking moronic and that's such a stupid idea that I could see them doing it.
There's zero reason to buy out a failing comic company to continue a comic for a license that you literally own and licensed to them.
They don't see Sonic as worth their time for now. And especially not anything made by the US side.
IDW getting bought out by some media company that wants to put out comics for their other properties might make sense. I don't see Sega Sammy doing it though.
It would be for sega, sammy and TMS. But I doubt they want to get into the western market.
This is campbell we're talking about . Campbell likes fat unusually gendered/sexed girls with colored hair like Miller likes b***hes and prostitutes.
TMS just did this strictly to say "We're sorry for Shenmue: The Animation".
...and sonic superstars sold like ASS in Japan.
I saw that. Their fault for launching in the busiest month during one of the industry's best years. Not to mention alongside Mario Wonder.
And Spider-Man 2
Sonic was always designed for a western market, Sega has Puyo Puyo and Yakuza for their home market.
Sonic games besides Frontiers have always sold like shit in Japan. Japs don't give a shit about Sonic, only the West does.
The original Genesis Sonic 1 was designed for the west in the first place, otherwise Sega would've just bought Compile and made Arle Nadja their mascot.
>This is campbell we're talking about
Campbell has nothing to do with Last Ronin.
As much as I like to mock this pathetic excuse of a Tumblr writer, he/she only infected the main series and spin-offs. Last Ronin sequel was garbage in its own.
ew
Funny how they immediately cancelled hyenas right after Blackrock announced the closure of ESG fundings.
Here's a link to the trailer.
?si=Qfvq4fDDgHRuAckc
Really ?
What is Hyenas?
Sega and Creative Assembles "Super" game that was really a generic, over-funded generic investor-bate project.
It was canceled, not that it would have made any money if it was finished.
Thats a lot of money for a nothing return. American comics are dead and Japan hasn't given a frick about Sonic since 1.
They are betting all their chips on the last Ronin game.
>sonic is not depicted as a leftist freedom fighter resisting a totalitarian polluter that turns animals in to robot slaves
>no depictions of a beautiful and pristine environment interrupted by an unregulated industrial revolution
were there even chaos emeralds?
>Skybound acquires all of IDW's licenses
>Sonic and TMNT join the Energon Universe.
>IDW only has 4.32 million dollars of cash left.
is that bad?
maybe they should try to make some comics that sell
It is very bad.
Do they actually own any original IP at all?
Aren't just publishers and licensors and the creators keep the rights?
Wynonna Earp, Locke and Key, and 30 Days of Night though they share the ownership with the creators and a bunch of other stuff no one cares about.
To put in perspective how bad that is, a single successful McDonalds location could actually make that amount in a year.
It's BEYOND fricking bad. It's bad enough that some places will not do biz or demand higher rates from them because they think they might not get paid. Especially on the big ticket shit like new TV shows.
They have a VERY few things...but nothing they can easily exploit. What you describe is correct, but it's more complicated for some places. see DC and WB, and WB movies, and CN or Marvel and Marvel Comics and Disney.
Okay, I'm not too bright, but don't businesses run of debt all the time, for years?
Or is their time up and they have nothing to pay back with?
IDW already has millions of dollars of debt due to failed TV adaptations, they will soon have to borrow even more money as they will not have enough money to pay for operations.
sounds pretty dire...
Yes, but this is dependent on the buisness growing, or doing something amazing with the loaned money, or some brilliant leader or strategy. Eg, Google ran on debt for a decade. Musk runs on debt for SpaceX, twitter, and tesla because all that shit has great potential and he already delivered with paypal .
IDW doesn't actually own any valuable machinery, and virtually no valuable IPs. It already made shows for it's big shit. It's got a process for publishing and distributing other people's shit, but how valuable is that and how much is that growing? See the thread on the comics shops closing for perspective.
IDW might get sold off in pieces, or absorbed, but it's not going to survive in it's current form.
>It's BEYOND fricking bad. It's bad enough that some places will not do biz or demand higher rates from them because they think they might not get paid.
What businesses would avoid working with IDW? sellers?
Biggest one is printers. Warehouse and logistics. Some of the semi independent IP holders like Sakai could easily jump ship. TV production people, as much of their current revenue is from TV shows, of which they're not making any new ones..
Wait could IDW be forced to release digital only comics?
What does Sakai own?
All of Usagi Yojimbo. Not including TMNT crossovers.
It's one potential method of collapsing. I'm not too sure though.
I am pretty sure Usagi Yojimbo jumped ship
Yeah, he has an imprint at Dark Horse now
Usagi Yojimbo?
Filian is probably worth more than IDW now. Mad.
make a comic aimed at boys, manga has been eating your lunch for a decade now.
EVERYONE has been eating IDW's lunch.
why did image explode? invincible show driving sales?
Invincible sales, Department of Truth was a success, and Saga came back
>Department of Truth
I totally forgot about this book, dropped off around the bigfoot chapter since it felt like it was spinning its wheels
I wasn't into comics around when it came onto the scene but saga has to be one of the weirdest things to me as to how it got popular.
It just struck me as very boring at best
>Saga came back
And back to the garbage bin it is. Who gives a frick at this point? Honestly?
Clickbait Youtubers and Redditors.
make official sonic porn
you'll make billions.
I'm just glad that I got Star Trek Day Of Blood comic book mini series out of them before they close down as they sure to shit won't be around to put it out in graphic novel form.
why
accurate
Not true for awhile.
Plus Sonic Superstars is still much better then Balan Wonderworld.
How is that a win?
Because it's TMS' way of saying "Sorry for Shenmue: The Animation".
>sonicgays are so desperate for a win they're down to comparing themselved with Balan
Nobody expects Sonic Superstars to be as good as Mario Wonder or Spider-Man 2, but the later was so bad that Sony ended up firing the production team behind it and is said to be moving PlayStation back to Japan to make sure another Spider-Man 2 never happens again.
It barely launched top 5.
>but the later was so bad that Sony ended up firing the production team behind it and is said to be moving PlayStation back to Japan to make sure another Spider-Man 2 never happens again.

How the frick does that imply Insomniac got laid off?
Are you THAT fricking moronic
All of Sony's gaming departments are getting laid off.
Any of those studios Insomniac?
Yes, thats what happens when you shut down Japan Studio.
It is.
How about you link to some Insomniac employees saying that they lost their jobs, like how several Bungie employees said that their jobs were cut, instead of some random Youtubers that are purely speculating?
It's true, but it's not as severe as the clickbait. Here's the closest article I have on hand for the topic, as I can't go into specifics.
https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/wave-of-layoffs-at-playstation-reported-by-developer-of-unannounced-game
T. within walking distance of Culver City and Santa Monica.
>2023's mass eradication of the games industry continues with reports of layoffs at Sony Interactive Entertainment and PlayStation Studios. It's unclear how extensive these losses are - Sony have yet to provide comment, at the time of writing - but they appear to include staff at PlayStation's Visual Arts studio, based in San Diego, which supports developers like The Last of Us creators Naughty Dog and Spider-Man 2 creators Insomniac.
So it's a support studio that helped Insomniac, not Insomniac itself
They're not speculating, those are actual reports.
And none of those pertain to Insomniac you moronic Sonicgay
Yes, they do.
Sony is moving PlayStation back to Japan.
Sony is in a bidding war with Disney to buy SquareEnix.
Insomniac is included.
Name some of these Insomniac employees, then. And they have to actually work at Insomniac.
Hillary lost, get over it.
The DreamCast lost
Get over it

>Sony is in a bidding war with Disney to buy SquareEnix.
How long have you morons been saying stupid shit like this?
Like, you guys have been saying Sony will buy Capcom/Square Enix/2K/Fromsoft/Sega for years now, and it hasn't happened yet.
>Capcom rejected a Microsoft offer, Disney is more symbolic to Capcom when with Microsoft they mean nothing to Capcom; Plus Disney can participate in the FGC directly with Marvel Vs Capcom 5 if Disney does buy Capcom.
>SquareEnix is in a bidding war, Yuji Hori wants to retire and sell the company to the highest bidder, in Disney's case it to bring Kingdom Hearts in house and that when the next Smash shows Sora will never be neutered again.
>2K is WAY too big to be bought out.
>Kadokawa owns FromSoftware, They're not giving up control.
>SegaSammy is in in shambles in terms of who will buy them out.
And in case anyone asks...
>Warner Bros (and it's games department) is in the prosses of getting bought out by NBCUniversal, Microsoft isn't getting Warner Bros.
Please tell me you're shitting on Square Enix. Disney is already hemorrhaging money and it makes zero, ZERO fricking sense for them to buy yet another giant media company right now when Iger's spending spree fricked them in the ass. Especially since SE is an entirely different industry mostly based in an entirely different media economy in a different country.
EA is also on Disney's watch list but Capcom and especially SquareEnix are far more likely.
If fricking Disney gets its hands on Square Enix I will have to go through Marvel if I ever want to make my Bravely Default fanfic idea into a comic; that can't happen bros.
They can't buy SE, the Japanese are protectionist and have laws keeping their companies from being bought out by foreign corporations.
If Disney is looking to reenter gaming in a big way EA is the better option, although the amount they would have to pay would put the Microsoft Activision merger to shame.
>The Japanese have laws keeping their companies from being bought out by foreign corporations.
Thats only if you're part of the royal family, government, JSDF or a bank, entertainment, automotive and electronics companies are fare game (Cases in point: Nissan, Sharp and SNK).
EA means the death of Mickey Mouse as it will mean nothing but Marvel and Star Wars moble gacha shovelware.
>the amount they would have to pay would put the Microsoft Activision merger to shame.
And Disney doesn't have that kind of money right now--no traditional media company does.
We all know the cost of borrowing is notoriously low right. They would be stupid not to go for it.
>those thumbnails
so not real journalism then

>Sonicgays are legit this fricking stupid
Honestly it's kinda nuts that Sonic is still around with 90% of his games being bad. Every couple years I think he's gonna disappear but then a Mania or Generations comes out and keeps him on life support.
what does this mean for the sheep with fat breasts?
Her rights stay with sega in the case of an IDW bankruptcy with possible rights to make comics with her to the successor or buyout partner, or someone with burrito money.
Japan will completely ignore her. Maybe she shows up in a phone game or racer at best.
They did the cut scenes to Sonic Superstars by the way.
Can we get official translations of the Sonic manga now?
For frick's sake, they just put out a new one for Superstars and no one bothered to post it online. The American prequel comic for the game got officially translated to Japanese
They made another manga?
Not another series, just a one-off to serve as an intro
That's what they get for not making that Sonic Underground finale
Let it die, let it die, let it shrivel up and die
The problem with licenseshit is that even if it's popular with it's fanbase, they tend to pirate the shit out of it.
Even if you think IDW Turtles are less talked about than IDW Sonic, the issue is that 90% of those Sonicgays will read it for free. Meanwhile, TMNT has at least some general comic fans who might pick it up.
Why is IDW in particular getting so fricked over? Is it just because they banked too hard on licensed shit?
Pretty much.
>there are anons itt that want japanese gaming studios to be under the control of american media companies they hate
Nobody wants to see Sora get neutered in Smash again.
So desperate over a dying company and a 90s has-been.
