MLP is a bannable offense because 10 years ago when it was new it spawned the term "bronies" because autistic horny men spammed porn of it on all boards until moot globally banned MLP outside of the containment board created to get rid of the spam. That said posting anything with a pony will get their post deleted since it still against site rules to post anything containing a MLP character, even on red boards. It's either stays on /mlp/ or /trash/, no where else is allowed.

7.5/10 Pretty good if not short, I was expecting Silver to be grating with Evan writing but it was okay. From the blurb it said he would be fanboying over Whisper or something. I hope it's because they've listened to the criticism about him being an uwu baby cinnamon roll. We'll see if this continues to the nest issue. The story with Blaze and Sonic was nice, I'd like to see the characters just visiting familiar places or exploring shit over doing missions for the Restoration as if it were Archie or something. If they're going to keep that shit in, just restrict it to the Cutters in a side story and if IDW's gonna last and get the chance, a sister book. That panel though is gonna unleash the worst kind of autism.

IDW has already referenced stuff in previous games but very briefly. As it has been pointed out there haven't been any people shown. It's a weird half measure.

Post or Pre reboot, answer carefully.

Sega doesn't want to show them yet as they decide their new status quo and thus would want them to be re-established in something more important than the comics, and Ian, as usual, rather than trying to work with limitations tries to force them away and then is forced himself into awkward compromises. So you get a human location without humans being allowed to be shown.

Ian said a few months ago that they couldn't do stories in Chun-nan because people would complain about the lack of humans.

Half the time he says something in the podcast he's trying to be diplomatic, or in other words, lying to calm people down. He might say to a question "no we're not using Unleashed locations without humans" to calm down the person asking, while behind the scenes planning to do just that. In fact, considering how long comics take to be made, odds are he was writing this exact story while saying that publicly. Oftentimes when he denies things like this, you should take it as "actually he's going to do it and is just trying to throw you off the scent".

Yeah the traitor thing was one of Ian's first dumb dragged out storylines and it was really frustrating watching him make the same mistakes over and over again but he really shined in Sonic Universe where he was allowed to just help people and fight big enemies. He was more of an awkward teenage boy than a maldeveloped baby person so it was believable when he was both being badass and got punked.

I liked the worldbuilding for Reboot Archie, but it never really went anywhere. They stretched out the Unleashed adaptation so long that when the comic ended, it felt like they hadn't done anything with it.

I liked Whisper initially, though. Only initial issue was that being the Wispon user linked her permanently to the cancer that was Colors and Forces.
Her real issues came when every single scene she was in got consumed by whining and crying, when that really should've stayed resolved with the end of Tangle&Whisper. Also they can't just say out loud that 1: Her teammates died, or 2: she's a lesbian, because death and homosexuality are against the mandates. So she just constantly reopens all the wounds that this current era of Sonic comic is plagued with

Tangle and Whisper have the same problem as Craig and Tweek from South Park where their relationship has consumed them as characters and there's more focus on them as an item than as individuals. This can happen to straight couples too but gay/lesbian pairs suffer from this more because the writers have to consider "representation". (even though Tangle and Whisper aren't officially an item)
