If Cinemaphile had to make a Maleficent-centric story to take the place of the awful live-action setting, what would you do?

She realizes how overrated being in her human form is so she stays as a dragon and finds love with a nerd boy and shoves him up her pussy.
See... I was thinking more a story that leans hard in to black magic and occultism, and witchcraft.
Well okay.... But does it still have a human getting shoved up dragon pussy? Because that's a deal breaker for me.
that's just shrek
Yeah but this dragon is actually hot. I hate the stupid lipstick on the dragon in shrek
they're both too feral for my taste
She tries and starts a rap career. Unfortunately rap hasn't been created so everyone hates her rap. She then puts a curse onto the land until someone can best her in rap. Over the years many try and best her, only to be turn to stone at their failures.
All seems lost until a rumor of a girl who can spit hot fire names Barsella.
>Hello Barsella, I'm going into rap battle, and I want your hottest bars.
This guy would kick maleficents ass
Only if he received the strongest potion.
she gets addicted to wiener and becomes a free use bawd with big breasts
Maleficient is just like that. She's evil and vindictive because she has the power to be so and be shielded from consequences. So when she believes she has been snubbed by not being invited to a kingdom she never visited before despite being on the other side of her mountain, she decides to be utterly despicable and lays upon the child the greatest gift she could ever grant.
>Before she comes of age, a woman grown
>I shall return, and tutor her in the ways of magic
>Until the day she returns home of her own will
Ah, I see you were in that thread as well.
It was a good thread. Wish I was autistic enough to archive every thread I posted in though. All I have are vague memories.
>archive
Gotcha, homeslice.

There honestly needs to be more occult inspired comics.
I mean, there's Promethea and what else?
I just want actual villain shit
someone who knows she's the most dangerous and evil person there is, and loves it
That was the point of the discussion we had in
where she was invited, and "gifted" herself as Aurora's personal tutor, or then trains the girl in dark arts and magic, bringing her to the side of evil.
AU where Malifecent gets her invitation and becomes Aurora's weird lonely aunt that owns too many crows.
Kidnaps Aurora and grooms her to be even more terrible and evil than her
>kidnaps
It's more evil to do it right under her parent's noses
The current one by Dynamite seems to still make her out as a wicked b***h. I like that.
The worst part of the movie is that it implied she even had an "origin" in the mortal sense. I always imagined to to be primeval. She just exists.
Well no Maleficent is not primeval because she alluded to the Forces of Evil. So that means there must be some hierarchy in existence and she's not the ultimate being of evil itself. Maleficent is simply an evil fairy. She had to have been born and age into the character we see. And that's the thing we see that has visibly ages because she looks worse after the movie's intro.
God, this scene is so fricking good. I love her voice so much. And the sound of her staff striking the tiles.
Also I notice the Queen addresses Maleficent as "your excellency," which is really specific.
I had to scroll through 11 fricking videos from the shitty movie to get this clip.
A prequel story showing how she became evil or/and her rise to power. No redemption.
I like the thing she had going with Pete in the KH manga
Pete is her most loyal henchman. I just hope that whatever Nomura has in store eventually leads to her being better presented. She definitively needs an upgrade in power because she pales in comparison to Ultimecia who is Square Enix's resident evil sorceress character designed by Nomura himself.
After being defeated, she reincarnates many years in the future as a human girl. On her 16 birthday, she pricks her finger She regains her memories of past life, and suffers in a weaker body that lost connection to power she held as a fairy. The true Maleficent and the human memories manage to separate enough that they think of each other as different people, and get in a lot of arguments that degrade Maleficent's character. Eventually the two manage to split and Maleficent kills the human body as she sets out to extract her vengeance.
I don't think you can. Look even back then with Walt Disney in charge what did Maleficent stating she uses the powers of hell do? Nothing. She just became a dragon. When I think of evil females with ties to religious damnation Maleficent doesn't come to mind. I think of Altima the Bloody Angel from Final Fantasy tactics. A character who needed a war and lots of people killed to be reincarnated. Maleficent? Oh wait she can't do anything because Walt wants her to be family friendly. So Maleficent can't expressively condemn god despite her claims she worships the powers of Hell. She can't summon demons in fact her "demons" are moronic goofy birds and pigs even the goddamn bokoblin pigs from Legend of Zelda are demonic and scarier. So you see where I'm going with this. Disney's family friendly image sabotaged Maleficent by DEFAULT.
You just can't do a damn thing at all with her. Real shame she has a good design but she's trapped by being a Disney characters.
There's no way a 1950s movie would show the powers of Hell being stronger, or even a match, for the powers of good (i.e. God/Jesus).
That's not what I mean. I mean that they don't show Maleficent showing allegiance to the Devil. They don't show her minions being fierce and demonic. They don't show her doing much of anything because it kills Disney's family friendly image.
This is also why Chernabog was also censored. Originally Walt wanted him to be Satan/Lucifer himself. But censorship forced him to change it. So that right there is the problem. Disney's inherent family friendly nonsense is what ruins such characters. And it's Disney's family friendly bullshit what ruins western animation entirely while we're at it.
This is why we're free to do whatever, like the familiar-summoning blood ritual from the last thread.
I know it doesn't line up with time completely, but I've got this image in my mind that in the "Maleficent teaches Aurora (dark) magic" idea that she takes the young Princess to meet John Dee. It kind of fits, considering that Maleficent is just the kind of being that Dee and Kelley spoke to.
Also, for a Cinemaphilennection here's a John Dee documentary that Alan Moore was a part of.
Overlord, but not a power fantasy. She'll struggle, take risks, and have lasting consequences and rewards.
Here's an idea. A simple idea mind you. Anyone remember how in Snow White the Evil Queen is into witchcraft and the dark arts but uses books to cast her spells and what not? An idea for Maleficent is she being the narrator in a story explaining the distinction between someone who uses books to delve into forbidden dark powers and someone who inherently has the powers within them and can call upon them. The moral of the story is showing why having power within one self is better than reading it and conjuring it up from a book.
And don't say that's a terrible idea look at Aladdin's Jaffar. He literally has a laboratory where he performs his own kind of experiments and enchantments but eventually when he gained the lamp he wished to have inherent power to become and I quote him "The most powerful sorcerer on Earth!" So I think this would be a good idea for Maleficent. Mind you she's not the star of the story but the narrator. She takes on a Jiminy Cricket style character role and if you remember Jiminy Cricket in Pinocchio he's the narrator. He explains what happened in the story and that would be Maleficent's role here.
Reminds me of the Merlin miniseries from the 90s with Sam Neill, where there's different "levels" of magical ability in terms of conjuring. Merlin was a "hand wizard" which meant he needed to gesture and motion to cast spells, while Queen Mab (a fae) could cast by thought and will alone.
In the story in my head that's why Maleficent takes a young Aurora to a John Dee character (I did want to have it be Torchia from the Ninth Gate book, but that's too late for Sleeping Beauty's setting) because Aurora needs mortal help to learn the dark arts, because for Maleficent it's all just nature.
Also, Ninth Gate is on Youtube.
the ending felt abrupt, but sufficient I believe
I want this in Kingdom Hearts.
And one other thing, I hope that when the final story arc of Kingdom Hearts happens it's exactly what Maleficent said she wanted to take proper vengeance on Sora. A final hurrah for the mistress of all evil.
Refuse the offer because studio execs would take gold and turn it into shit
I can save her
I dunno, maybe play up the whole dark fae angle, drag in some Unseelie court lore. The immediate temptation of course would be to go the opposite direction of the movie and add some sort of predatory romance like Tam Lin or La Belle Dam Sans Merci but that seems too obvious.
I think this is why I like the idea of Maleficent forcing herself into the role of Aurora's tutor and teaching her the dark arts, because it still keeps Maleficent in a kind-of "off hand" role, where she's still not really explained or explored in a full way, but still has a large part of the story. Sort of where all sorts of other characters orbit around her.
Imagine if the King gave you the quest to bed Maleficent just so she can cool down. Do you think you can do it?
I'd do it or die trying!
Make a cartoon series about young Aurora set during the middle of the film and have episodes centered on Maleficent shenanigans
A fully 2d gritty origin story for maleficent.
