own canon, as a fan of the og ben 10 series who dropped the sequel series when ben became an insufferable douche, I havent bothered to catch up or watch any other series afterwards, plus a new set of regular aliens would be fun

The explanation for how it happened is very stupid, but besides that, I like it. Someone else having a similar device to Ben, clashing with him while also teaming up is an interesting dynamic. The fact Kevin is also changing the DNA to create his own species is also interesting and can make good designs. I'd love to see it come back in the future, but I think it should be expanded a bit more.

Azmuth was not in the reboot until the movie, so he wouldn't have worked in that series.
His aliens being hybrids or mutants were great, but I always felt it was weird they needed to give him a device as a counter ben when that what frightwig was introduced as with her cybernetic fake hair. I don't see they couldn't have kept him as a mutant aside from toys.

Going back to the original timeline is the fan-preferred choice, But if they don't want to do that, I think a UAF-like series for the reboot could work. Timeskip where everyone's a bit older and you can do bolder stuff.
Now I know people don't like that show, but in terms of what it did with its characters and story, it was so little that a sequel series could also serve as a new starting point. It can work as a new start for the people who skipped the reboot, recapping all the relevant stuff that happened to the audience in the first episodes, and making brand-new stories it also works as a sequel to the reboot for those who did watch it. Really the only big change is Kevin got an evil Omnitrix, Vilgax co-created the Omnitrix and Upgrade transformed into a new entity called Glitch. That's really it, you can tell that to people without confusing them.
Reboot had good ideas, but was stuck as a toddler show, so all the glimpses of cool stuff never went anywhere. You take those ideas into a cartoon that's allowed to do what it wants and I think it can be a good series. I'd prefer something like that over reboot number 3.

Y'know I thought about it, and you can fix Blox by just making him a stone golem instead. Keep the gorilla shape and the ability to morph his body around. It'd have more of a castle wall aesthetic.
