Making kids read long and boring shit from over 1500 years is how you kill their interest in reading completely (also, why the frick with the average Latverian citizen need to understand ancient Greek, a language no one uses anymore?) and then you wind up with adults who hate reading anything more complicated than twitter shitposts. If anything Doom would probably figure out how to create books that are the most objectively interesting (to children) books possible to keep their interest in reading alive for as long as possible.
