not that anon, but forcing everyone through insurance bottlenecks has the convenient and totally not intended side effect of making the prices on everything skyrocket to a level that only billion dollar insurance companies can afford. maybe different if you live outside of the states, but even basic medicines can easily shoot up to 3-4 figures per prescription, 5 if it's something that will kill you if you don't take it like insulin.

Sam perfectly described it. Tim came from an era of the early 2000s where being quirky and ironically detached was the zenith of comedy, then when he saw people mocking him for being anti trump, he made that "Im a cuck" song thinking that it would completely disarm his haters because he was "owning the insult" or whatever and didnt understand that the internet culture had changed since he last was a presence on it and this was just opening him up for more brutal mockery, which clearly did get to him.

They make him much more bold and confrontational with the lower orders than a trust fund hipster would ever dare to be. At one point he goes into a black bar, alone, and starts picking fights. Unrealistic in the extreme.

I havent seen it since it came out like 10 years ago, but I really liked it. It was a perfect criticism of the ironic hipster lifestyle and how pathetic it was which is odd since it seems that Tim doesnt really know when to "turn it off" in real life and the aging millenial/gen x Tim and Eric fanbase probably never took this to heart, that this movie was telling them to grow up.

as almost a hate letter to ironic millennial hipsters that were their fanbase but then they just keep doing the wacky and random zany shit after this movie got made so why make this movie then return to the shit you are being critical of?
