Why? Every indicator is that what is being brought over aside, it is supposed to be the first indicator of the new direction. That said, COUGH COUGH, I've been done blaming Snyder at this point. He is a symptom of the fecklessness of the WB Board of Directors, which is a further symptom of the Wall Streetification of Hollywood. Stories about Superman or Mickey Mouse shouldn't only be allowed to be told by those fortunate enough to inherit or purchase the right to do so. Burn it all down.
Like after SA2 Sonic never ever recovered his "equal to mario" status, I don't think the DCEU will ever take off, considering marvel already ended its first saga, while DC's failed, unlike a few years ago future DC movies don't have that "must watch" appeal anymore bc they're no longer racing against marvel
We had Man of Steel being successful during the infamous Iron Man 3 & Thor Dark World times
After a weird hiatus we had Batman v Superman VS Civil War, Suicide Squad vs Guardians Vol. 2
Justice League vs Spider-Man Homecoming, first failure
Aquaman & Shazam vs Captain Marvel
But after Endgame DC has been in a permanent state of damnation while Marvel is in a permanent state of "we can do whatever we want now"
Zack Snyder was not smart in making DC different from the MCU he wanted to bring only a dark universe and not a universe with the goddesses of the leotard and I think the same will happen with James Gunn because after Kevin Feige, James Gunn is the guy who hates leotard the most so we will have another version of Superman without any fun, again...
Superman the Movie is a beloved classic, Superman II is a deeply flawed thrown-together film finished by Richard Lester, who was behind the crapulent third and fourth movies and Superman Returns followed HIS canon, not Donner's.
In that whole time Superman has maintained a consistent and popular television presence.
So in essence I would say that the damage of Superman's legacy has been a one-two punch by Richard Lester and Zack "the hack" Snyder, enabled by Warner Bros. poor stewardship.
I watched Superman the movie for the first time. And I thought it was charming and a legit good movie. I don’t see the problem WB is having the character. They dropped the ball on returns (dreary and boring) and Man of Steel (even more dreary and boring).
Smallville ran for 10 seasons and I enjoyed that fine as well. So what is the issue with the live action proportion.
the real issue here is, Gunn couldn't handle cosmic characters to save his life. Look at how he ruined Ronan, Ego, Adam Warlock and Phyla in the GOTG movies or Starro in The Suicide Squad. His Superman wil superbomb and the new DCU won't even start. Screen this post if you like
Man of Steel is shit. WB fricked up the brand for good using that clown. I remember a bunch of casuals reacting to Man of Steel for the first time. Every single one of them were divided on the film. Zack can't direct for shit. It was comically bad compared to how the trailers presented it.
>If it fails, and I'm not saying it will,
The Superhero movie trend is dead. We needed a good Superman movie ten years ago. We didn't get it. So now even if this Superman movie is good (and there are reasons to believe it won't be) it wont be enough to save the character of superman or make him relevant or popular again.
Boomers? Awww is the correct word on your no-no list, homosexual-kun?
The Superman anime is probably better than the movie we'll get if we're being brutally honest.
Found the trannie
Cope. MAWS is some of the best Supes media in a while.
Snyder is still being blamed 6 years after he left. Of course he'd be blamed. Snyder is the scapegoat.
also blame Goyer, that fricking hack.

Man of Steel was shit
Dawn of Justice was shit
Justice League was shit
Cope more Snydergays
Snyder was the only time when dc actually made money of their movies.
Holy fricking shit, this actually made me laugh. Thanks, anon.
I believe OP may be one of those homosexuals I keep hearing about.
define fail
Isn't the new superman going to be black like zod.
Snydercucks have been blaming Gunn for the failure of movies he wasn't even involved with, so it would only be fair.
I'd say the guy in charge saying "we're rebooting so these movies don't go anywhere" directly affects the movies though.
Idk but i can see it failing again

Maybe because he still has a constant string of shit games.

A Superman movie with all the superfamily would be fun!
>Justice League vs Spider-Man Homecoming
I compare JL to Thor Ragnarok, which were both in November
Cinemaphile blames Marvel for the death of capeshit (totally ignoring the Infinity Saga which was universally loved).
I don't trust Cinemaphile, they act like n-word and post troonyjacks all day. Nothing is ever good enough for them.
They will say that Snyder damaged the brand despite the fact that the Superman brand has always sold poorly

Snyder is the first guy who got Superman to sell something. Putting him into the same bag as Lester makes no sense

Yeah,Gunn really just makes the same movie over and over
>muh sneeder
No? Its Gunn job alone to make it interesting
Cant wait for rebel moon tho, can only be great or garbage no in between.
