If you don't agree with Batman when you're young, you have no heart, and if you don't agree with Punisher when you're old, you have no brain.

I fricking hate capeshit.
Shut the frick up you whiny homosexual.
Punisher is a criminal.
So's batman
He abides by the real, true, eternal laws, and not the man-made ones instituted to protect criminals.
>human rights are meant to protect criminals
I see now
All human beings are just criminals yet to be caught
The only solution? Total human extinction
Thanks Skynet
My hero is Hector of Troy (movie), not these pussies
gayyyy
Not wanting murderous vigilantes running around on the streets means I have no brain? Many of these stories work only because the heroes are usually semi-committed to not killing.
Childhood is when you idolize Batman or Punisher. Adulthood is when you realize The Joker makes more sense.
At first I thought you were moronic, but on reflection you are right. The state is an inherently unjust institution, and the blood of bootlickers is a small price to pay for freedom.
And now you know how a spree shooter thinks.
Call them cowardly, but to them, killing those unarmed students/civillians = killing the cattle of the oppressors.
If you don't agree with MODOK you have a microcephalic craniosynostosis disorder.
Lol Joker is running like Joaquer
probably gonna shoot a guy wherever he’s going too
All crime would stop if Batman simply fricked Joker to submission
He killed Joker in the Killing Joke, 50 or whatever years ago it was.
1. I said frick not kill
2. That's just a headcanon that went out of hand. Alan Moore deconfirmed this himself.
Alan Moore confirmed it actually
Post a source because that goes against the actual script Alan Moore wrote himself. Grant Morrison iirc believes he killed him, but grant Morrison is just injecting headcanon. Batman killing joker goes against the entire "one bad day thing isn't actually an excuse, because it doesnt happen to most people" thesis the story emphasizes.
The script ends with "He and the Joker are going to kill each other one day". This is direct confirmation that Batman will kill the Joker even at the expense of his own life.
>one day
The end is obviously intended to be cryptic, but the title alone makes it obvious what happened.
TDKR, same thing. You don't snap someone's neck in self-defense, it's an attempt at murder. The Joker finished himself off because that's a better way to write his demise, but it's assisted suicide at best.
Quote Alan Moore himself: they didn’t.
The script literally says that they are holding eachother in the rain and laughing. Not strangling. Bruce’s hands aren’t even touching or near his neck.
Even this answer is cryptic, and obviously for a reason. The implication is that he killed him.
What fricking cryptic you moron? The interviewer asks if he killed him and Alan says out loud and clear “no and that was never the intention”
He didn't deny it at all. He keeps it cryptic on purpose, just like the ending. But it's obvious that this was his intention.
He literally says that was not his intention, and that they are just laughing at their situation
It's clearly left cryptic on purpose. He mentions the "fatal" relationship and then further proceeds to say it's "doomed".
This doesn't sound like a picnic to me. He killed Joker, simple as.
Don't try to explain it to him, anon. He has a severe case of headcanon disease.
No, it's just pretty obvious what was being hinted at. The title itself hints it.
The title is a reference to a british 70s band about laughing about the state of the world
>books hints at this
"author said no"
>but but but the book
"script says no"
>but but but but but
Only works if you subscribe to death of the author philosophy. This is fine, but this is still against the intented expression of the creator of the work. You can still choose to interpret it that way. Just don't lie about the truth of if.
>author said no
Sauce?
>"script says no"
Script is left as ambiguous as the ending but makes sure to suggest they will kill each other, obvious hint that a murder likely happened.
>This is fine, but this is still against the intented expression of the creator of the work.
The intent was clearly to leave people wondering what exactly happened. But it's pretty obvious what did.
The script says:
They hold eachother in the rain and laugh at the absurdity
Cut to rain
That’s literally all it says. Their fatal relationship is about their distant future and the cyclical fates of their lives
>That’s literally all it says.
Read the script again. It says that it's preordained they'll kill each other. Direct confirmation that it either happened or will happen at some point.
Obviously, the ending was kept cryptic on purpose.
He didn't deny anything, he just gave the same kind of non-answer he gives in the book, obviously on purpose. That's what an open ending means. But the implication is clear.
"batman and joker will kill each other eventually" is a line that's been in every bat book for 80 years. I don't see how that makes it worth pointing out here.
Why would he add that line if he wasn't intending for that scene to be analyzed as a potential murder? It's obvious he wanted people to consider that possibility.
Because one day implies not today
That's because he wanted it to be cryptic. If he'd just said "cut back to darkness, a sound of a neck snapping is heard" that would defeat the purpose.
Don't know why you think he's being cryptic. He openly disowned the work and dislike it. He's been transparent about his intent towards his own works. No reason for him to put special treatment for a work he openly dislikes
It's clearly a cryptic ending, you're just coping now.
>b-but he hates it
I don't care what Moore hates or likes, the ending and implication is pretty obvious.
Because the book he based it on: The Getaway, ends with the couple laughing how they’re stuck on the island with no escape, and will eventually die. They do not die that night, they decide to enjoy eachother’s company and laugh at their doomed states.
That further supports the notion that he killed him. A suggestion could've easily been made that it all has a happy ending and they become friends.
Why are you engaging with someone that is clearly taking the piss
Other anon posted sauce. Are you blind?
>fatal relationship
even here he's dropping hints that it happened, he just doesn't want to ruin the open nature of the ending like john carpenter did with the thing
It’s implied that when Batman snapped the Joker’s neck, he actually killed him for real and the Joker’s conversation with him was a hallucination. Joker’s dialogue post-snap matches Batman’s thought bubbles.
>pushes the punisher's shit in
So much for the tolerant Batman fan!
That version of Batman isn't tolerant, he weaponized the entirety of Gotham.
A Punisher fan is just a Batman fan who has been mugged.
Batman has been instrumental in saving his world countless times. Frank just shoots drug-dealers in Manhattan.
>batman is wanked and the center of his world
Gonna say his feats too?
The Death Battle general is over there.
Almost every criminal deserves another chance. But at some point, the people like the Joker should be out down. They've proven that they can't be in society, but the also can't be contained.
Batman wants joker to kill people so he can be the big hero.
Batman still believes that the Joker can ebe reformed, because both are fruit of the same fricked up situations in Gotham
I agreed with Punisher when I was young and I still disagree with Batman now I'm not, so I'm glad to have a brain but no heart.
What if I agree with Red Hood?
If you are still supporting cape trash as adult, you have a serious problem.
you're on the cartoon board, homosexual
There's a reason why every fanbase is full of manchildern.
go back to your containment board then troony
He hurt them because he spoke the truth.
no, off-topic shitters never speak the truth
You read a comic book that has a man dressing as a bat while fighting a villain named crytoon. Tell me, how does it feel?
Don't forget the newest villain "shush".
how does it feel to discuss things you're not interested in instead of doing something productive?
punisher is a moron he never goes after globalist elite. just kill low life poor criminals and never address the real root of the problem
Remember that time he murdered an imitator because the guy launched a terrorist attack on a bunch of corrupt white collar bastards, because one janitor had died as collateral? Boy, I sure hope there wasn't any other message behind that story.
Of course they wouldn't let him address the real root because they wouldn't want the heroes look incompetent and have their fans cry. Just like with Red Hood who isn't allowed to do anything.
This.
When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of Gordon raping the Joker
- Abraham Lincoln
Punisher is a mass murdering psychopath who kills criminals because their the most morally convenient. He doesn't need to feel guilt, he can just enjoy killing.
Complaining about Batman not killing the Joker is like complaining about the Trix Bunny never getting his cereal.
