So basic clothes like black shirts and dark jeans can't be worn today because they were popular in 2010s reddit? We're at the end of history, fashion trends aren't going to change so drastically that the mention of a plain shirt and jeans evokes an entire different era.

The sight of spongebob makes me actually physically cringe. It is just a "shocking"(?), jostling image. Idk the right word. It induces strong immediate ultra short term anxiety. I see it and I go from comfortable to defensive. It makes me want to recoil.
Can someone name this for me, like give me a non meme keyword for this reaction to what is clearly supposed to like, very much so not cause that reaction? Kids, the most easily spooked people, are expected to willingly look at Spongebob twice. I will not and there are none to take. This is not a good image. I can identify comfortable looking things by looking at them, it's that easy. Spongebob's design is some bad shit that escapes my vocabulary. It's not the only one, it is a style. Just like certain cartoon network characters who made me want to vomit. I know I'm not special so I want to what's up.
