I'll miss boomers

I spent this evening watching Johnny Carson clips with a 74 year old neighbor drinking beers.

How can I relate to you. I liked being 7 years old up past my bedtime seeing Johnny Carson come on.

I don't ever remember liking Carson.
Carson was for Republicans, Letterman was for Democrats. Carson was the past, Letterman was the future. Carson was square, Letterman was hip. Carson was for parents, Letterman was for their kids.

I remember Roger Moore on the tonight show and he was practically pleading on air for cubby broccoli to cast him as Bond again. It was really kind of pathetic and Carson just said "oh I'm sure he will" and moved on because the tonight show had absolutely no substance. No real human emotion was supposed to be displayed.

Well there's what 20+ years of shows so you can probably find something to like. Charles Grodin's appearances were pretty funny bc he provoked Carson.

MAYBE they will with the next gen being the old fricks but no chance society will be stable after they're gone, zoomers and millennials can't hold this shit together and they're gonna vote in the most insane laws you ever heard of

Its going to be hilarious. Zoomers will still be crying about Boomers and Xers who will be long gone. The upcoming generations won't give a shit. The line will be "Yes, Boomers ruined everything but did you homosexual Zoomers even try to fix things?"

Zoomers will respond by blaming Millenials LMAO

Everybody dooms but the truth is younger generations actually never had a chance to live in a decent system and nobody's going to fix it. I think without boomers, and Xers being old and retired or pretty much fricked off, terminal infinite immigrants from shitholes who just will never be anything but third world refugees shitting everything up around them. Boomers had fun living la vida loca in margaritaville though

    >boomers
I'm interested in ww2 history, and the amount of websites on this topic that have been abandoned is really something. Since about 10 years ago they're just dropping off, some forums are still running but nobody has posted in years, other sites that had a lot of great information have expired and reverted back to domain4sale shit. It's a small thing, but it's a good indicator.

Covid cleaned house. I've noticed the IQ of adult chatrooms drop about 50 points in the last 3 years.

Are you sure they just aren't being drowned out? I think a lot of them gave up because of the easy barrier to the internet has allowed a lot of low iq undesirables to spout their opinions. Recently, we're seeing a lot of Indians post.

My dad is a boomer and he'll never own a computer because he's convinced someone will use it to hack his bank account. Meanwhile scammers are calling his landline pretending to be his grandkids.

I have nothing but respect for those who reject the internet. My neighbor is an immigrant from Afghanistan, dude is rad as frick. Has a loyal wife and gorgeous daughter, is self employed as a handyman but also owns a coffee shop, and told me he doesn't own a TV because it's more fun doing home improvement projects than watching TV shows. Unsurprisingly he has the nicest house on the block, and I live in an upper middle class suburb.

Oh and u meant to say he doesn't frick around online, 100% of his business is word of mouth, so social media campaigning.

Having no TV is based but not being on the net is crippling yourself after a point. My dad pays $77 a month for his landline telephone. He could get internet service for that and use VOIP.

It's a slippery slope, first he's saving a few bucks on the phone and next thing you know he's jerking off to hentai and sleeping with a dakimakura

I work at a call center and boomers/old people just want to stay on the line and talk to me even after we fixed the issue. Some of them even tell me to call them when I get off shift. I hope I'm not alone when I'm old, lads.

      Anonymous

A redpill about old people is that if they're alone they most likely deserved it, people like being around sweet old people, but they people you're talking to were horrible c**ts to their friends and their families their entire lives and now that they're old and alone they're being sweet on you out of desperation.
people don't abandon cute old family members that are pleasant to be around.

this is only trivially true. The amount of old people that end up isolated by circumstance is huge. Other family members die, people live too far away and are busy, depression leads to withdrawal etc.
and now for another funny pic of Johnny and Jonathan

I met an old boomer at my last job, he told me he used to work in ATOMAL and showed me his old ID and some supposedly classified documents, and we used to talk all the tine regarding politics and music, I actually miss him and would hang out with him if given the chance, he was cool.

There really aren't enough movies about boomers and how they've influenced their environment (how they see and interpret things and how they live in comparison or contrast to others), I think they've consciously decided to "print the legend" rather than using the more definite punctuation of a character study.
