why did they think this documentary was a good idea
why did the 90s mindbreak them all so hard
Kirk ostensibly lost like 30 IQ points during the 90s and he wasn't that intelligent to begin with, homie can't even finish sentences anymore these days
Based fan of a guy that posed nude for a gay magazine.
He is not cool you just saw a few threads about him and you are too young to have seen him live.
One of the only moments of clarity that I can recall is when Kirk argues on behalf of a guitar solo. The other guys were thinking "contemporary and commercial (no guitar solo)" instead of just being themselves and doing what they're good at, which is basically what Kirk was saying. The whole scene is an insight into the mentality that made Metallica gay and homosexual in the first place. Then again, they're so far removed from their younger selves that convincing them to kick ass is a fool's errand.
Kirk came across really well in general. He seems like a guy who is content with where they are and wants to keep doing their thing. Lars is worried about keeping the band feeling fresh and contemporary, which I get but it was detrimental to their music. James is just trying to keep himself on the straight and narrow.
>DUDE JAMES NEEDS TO BE A HECKIN BADASS AND START DRINKING AGAIN LIKE IN LE OLD DAYS!!!! >starts drinking again >turns into a bloated greasy mess with gross unwashed hair >starts fricking up playing live >is clearly drunk as a skunk on S&M2 and messes up on almost every song, starts crying out of shame at one point >goes into rehab and delays 72 Seasons by like two years >wife leaves him >whole ordeal visibly aged him by like 20 years
Thank you Metallica fans, very based
I saw them live once as the closer of a festival. They had fireworks and everything. Very cool.
I'm sure they shouted something about 'Frick Napster' and ' Buy our new album'.

Peter Steele dabs on this homosexual even after death.
He wrote what, three good songs? He's barely fit to be Metallica's roadie.

Kirk seemed likeable in that documentary, but Hetfield has got to be the best guitarist in Metallica no?
