The movie is essentially a "Frick You" to WB by the director so they can't make anymore Matrix movies
But if you're expecting a movie as good as the first one, you won't like it. I think it's worth watching if you enjoyed all three of the previous movies
It's nothing like the interent says it is. Only the first 10 minutes are meta, the rest is just a bad movie which story while unique in some ways, relies way too heavy on callbacks, especially for the things you seriously don't care about (remember that girl kid from The Ressurections? She's grew up to be one of the side characters, despite not influencing the story in any significant way or having nothing to do with the original character)
It reminds me a lot of The Force Awakens, if it wasn't a complete remake of the New Hope. Matrix Ressurecions is like a mix of TFA and Indiana Jones 4.
These morons here will say the movie is meta, only because some paid shill YTer told them so. The merovingian scene for example isn't deep. It literally means what the frenchman says it means.
It's garbage. Funnily though, it tries to call out WB for churning out an unnecessary sequel. If nothing else, it actually made the world outside the Matrix more interesting but it also simultaneously made the Matrix world less interesting than how the original trilogy portrayed it. Still a bad movie though.
It's a very mixed bag, some of it is baffling "WHY DID THEY DO THAT" while other parts are interesting and worth seeing.
It has an obnoxious number of flashbacks to the previous Matrix movies, some of them played multiple times, to the point where it almost insults your intelligence. It would be improved by a fan edit that removes most of the flashbacks, and changes the color grading in the Matrix scenes
>You think you can just declare yourself a woman, and nobody will challenge it? You believe your calves, shoulders, jawline, forearms, voice, Adam's apple don't betray you? 50 percent kill themselves before the age of 33 Mr. Anderson - and you definitely are a Mister- but you think this is the path to choose? Delusions Mr. Anderson, delusions.
My entire life I felt extremly nostalgic for Requiem for The Dream despite watching it this year too. Same case here, the music and setting feel extremly nostalgic
I'm gonna assume it's because they were made at a time when we were both young so even if you never saw it as a kid you have a familiarity with it some level. I get that with a bunch of movies made around the 90s/early 2000s.
>Smith was an existential threat to us, he took over the Matrix and would have taken over our Machine City and all of the real world if Neo hadn't helped us stop him >Let's forget that Smith was an existential threat to us and bring him back in a new version of the Matrix, just for shits and giggles
This was the worst part of Resurrections for me
WHY MR ANDERSON WHY WHY KEEP POSTING THE N WORD
Because I'm based
That's not Will Arnett though?
>Allusions, Mr. Anderson
Why does he look so much different in each movie
>stupid, Mr. Anderson
no cap tho. is the latest movie any good or is it garbage?
It’s good
it's pleb fitler
When I was a kid I had the matrix on an ipod and I would watch it every night before bed.
I have not seen the new matrix.
Brave, powerful and shining
Stay true to yourself, black king!
It is garbage.

Very forgettable. I don't count it as one of the movies, there are only 3 matrix movies.
>misses perfect opportunity for there is no spoon meme
>WHY MR ANDERSON WHY WHY DO YOU PERSIST????
>.....because I choose to...
>mfw hearing this the first time

Fine, whatever. Now, piss off
I only watched this trilogy early in the year and I already feel nostalgic for it. I guess because of the era it's rooted in.
