It still looked great
you can tell the old from new work, and the live action surgeons did the film no favor
Mad Gad?
filtered sober NPC with zero taste for world mythology or shamanistic themes gloriously presented by this film
glad this film wasn't mainstream, it'd be so tiresome needing to explain it to more than just the normies complaining about it on Cinemaphile
>glad this film wasn't mainstream
how is it not mainstream when it is basically reddit: the movie
You have to be 18 or older to post on here.
>everything i don't understand is reddit
you seem upset
I say that
these "scathing" meta critiques only work when they make sense.
I liked it well enough but Junk Head is the superior stop motion masterpiece to come out the last couple of years
That's because Japs are always surpassing western cinema in every feasible way.
junk head is a 1:1 clone of mad god, a straight up ripoff
>Junk Head was released in 2017
>Mad God was released in 2021
best movie of 2021
Cinemaphile was once a normalfag board. It becomes increasingly apparent poltards roam here in great numbers with the constant invention of characters to seethe at.
It’s not /misc/ boogeymen brother just an increase in popularity and traffic of normies
imagine ww 1 kino but with high budget and puppetry and stop motion.
MAD FAG: the OP
my mom doesn't even understand why some movies have black bars and others don't how is she supposed to explain the difference between digital and film to me
the only thing worse than fight club circlerjerks is the wave of antijerkers that hate it because they hate the circlejerkers and the tyler durden worshippers. why cant we all just accept that its a 10/10 perfect beautiful movie?
It's portrayal of help groups prevents it from being perfect. They are never that consistently depressing.
They were that depressing from the narrator's POV.
Touche.
Would this be a good one to watch on a modest amount of shrooms?
yes. the visuals are very gut even when sober
Absolutely every single thing you just said is good though.
You're 100% correct OP but we're on a teenager board that thinks The Thing is the greatest film ever made so dont bother
Wasn’t he making this for decades? How could he have just found out about practical effects
I liked it. My take on the ending is that the title MAD GOD, the destruction of babylon in the beginning, etc., are a red herring. they're showing hell on earth, to make the audience think what they're seeing must surely be the work of some mad god, but when they reveal the research results of the beaked witch at the end, they show that live evolved naturally, and that humanity blew itself to shit. in other words, if there would ever be hell on earth, it would be of men's own making. we'd have nobody to blame but ourselves.
Your mom knows the difference between digital and film? I'm pretty sure I'd have to explain that to mine and even then she wouldn't get it.
