>an entire arc of 3 characters sitting in a room in the same place without doing anything at all
They really have no clue what to fricking do with this show.
all the writing outside of everything surrounding Prospera has been exceptionally weak this season
like Guel just randomly stumbled upon the answers to his woes this episode while out on the streets
literally just phoning it in tier
>Put Guel in a position where he can grow >Also puts him on a direct course of conflict with the other main characters >Nah he's back at school now and he's all better
Weird choice. It really seemed like he'd be joining the resistance fighters and end up fighting the Spacians from the school.
Prospera has literally done jackshit in the entire show until the past 2 episodes, mostly this episode. It's ridiculous how the morons watching this believe she's some master manipulator who's been controlling anything.
>I don't understand why they are still in the show.
Its the same thing Okouchi did with Kallen in Code Geass. He doesn't know what to do with them right now and has nothing for them to do, so he has to stick them in a cell, essentially
I dunno. It just makes them more unlikeable if you have them sit around doing nothing. I really liked this Elan because he was always up to something. Now he's just in a room.
They're there so that Guel has a squad when he clashes with Shaddiq at the school. Kenanji's dudes are literal no name jobbers so he needs named characters on his side
How much in-universe time those three have been inside that room? A couple days? Months?
I just noticed how Nika's bandages are still the same and she just never seems to recover. Like I get her arm being broken or whatever for a long time but I'm pretty sure her other bandaged injuries should be fine by now?
As much as I hate Nika, El5n and Norea being stuck in Grassley's gay baby jail for almost an entire season, at least the show didn't just have them vanish for a time. I say this because I am coming into this after watching Zeta where a lot of cast members get split up from Kamile and don't get much screentime as a result.
Days or weeks, I don't think there have been many time skips since those three have ended up in there.
What does Zeta have to do with anything tard? Most characters in it got much more screentime and relevancy than these 3 on top of actually completing their arcs in the same show. Getting 3 second snippets of characters doing nothing in a room isn't better than other characters not getting screentime for actual in-show reasons like the plot moving forward in Zeta.
They're obviously going to end up getting involved with Guel/Suletta trying to stop Shaddiq. Having them be offscreen this entire time would leave no room for the character development Norea and El5n have had here. Don't get me wrong, its still a bad move. They could have done this without having them stuck in a room the whole time.
It's the scriptwriter's fault. None of the plot points are bad on their own, but the execution is what's killing it. IBO worked because of Okada, but Ookouchi is dropping the fricking ball.
>Kobayashi: Alright, so we have 3 characters that have all been cut off from the people that have controlled their lives up until this point. I want you to come up with a plotline that involves them finding purpose in the absence of direction. >Ookouchi: Ok, so Norea goes full schizo, and El5n comforts her while Nika has no idea what's going on. >Kobayashi: What? No that's dumb, but we have a production schedule to keep. Alright look, we need to have Guel hook up with the resistance and uncover the fact that Shaddiq is behind everything when he's on Earth >Ookouchi: Ok, so a kid randomly bumps into him and then after a wardrobe change, his bodyguard pieces the entire conspiracy together off of a single word.
>IBO worked
No >Ok, so Norea goes full schizo, and El5n comforts her while Nika has no idea what's going on.
You don't know where their plotline is heading so it's too early to judge. Nika learning more about the suffering Gundam pilots go through could be instrumental to the future of her character, especially since she's an engineer. The featurd engineers in this show have generally been ex-Vanadis members who have tried tackling the issues with the GUND format in different ways. Nika might try tackling it too. >Ok, so a kid randomly bumps into him and then after a wardrobe change, his bodyguard pieces the entire conspiracy together off of a single word.
He's not "a kid", he's the kid Guel got to know while held hostage by Dawn of Fold, his "bodyguard" is the Dominicus commander, and it was not "off of a single word", the kid straight up lets it slip to Kenanji that Prince AKA Shaddiq, which as far as Cathedra knew, was only affiliated to Grassley, was aiding Earthians.
Okouchi isn't dropping the ball, you're just a dumb speedwatcher.
As opposed to you pretending IBO "worked" because of Okada? I actually like most Okada anime I've seen but if anyone dropped the ball with their shot at Gundam, it's her, just like she dropped the ball with Aquarion EVOL. You sound like you're blinded by your hate for Okouchi.
Yuki Aoi is a hack
This character should have died like 5 episodes ago

Just because we didn't see it, it doesn't mean that it didn't happen.
>don't show
>don't tell
>don't hint
Ah yes, the perfect story telling method, not having a story at all.
Filtered.
There's nothing to control even.
Are these 3 going to be stuck in a closet for the rest of the show? I don't understand why they are still in the show.
>I don't understand why they are still in the show.
Its the same thing Okouchi did with Kallen in Code Geass. He doesn't know what to do with them right now and has nothing for them to do, so he has to stick them in a cell, essentially
>saving them for now since the staff are gauging the popularity of these characters
Seems like a smart move
Nice cope. People hated when Kallen got captured in R2.
>cope
Bot post

If you’re more worried about a character’s popularity than actually doing something with them then that’s a whole issue in itself.
They're there so that Guel has a squad when he clashes with Shaddiq at the school. Kenanji's dudes are literal no name jobbers so he needs named characters on his side
With the current pace you can tell the staff wants to be done with this shit show already and move on to the next project.
Nope
They're saving them for next season 🙂
Nice cope but this isn't getting another season.
kek, delusional moron
Filtering "cope"

She gets beaten up again in the same exact spots, chud

why would this be so bad???

They can still salvage it, probably. If they don't, they might royally frick up the ending. 5 more episodes, after all.

No

That wasn't me, I haven't even seen IBO.
All gundamgays are.
You must not talk to many cultists, because no, he doesn't.
>I'M ACTIIIINGG
Remember when shitposters used to have to try?
