Youtube can run more ads on videos that come out every day, so they don't prioritize skits or animation, and Facebook lied about their viewership which sank a bunch of companies including the one that made these guys, I think.
It really depends on what the markets are doing. Baman and Piderman wasn't a hobby thing, it wasn't cheap and took professional ability to make. You also have to remember that early on, cool stuff like skits, animations, and all kinds of creative ideas did great on Youtube.
It's just that Youtube was able to monopolize online video and search, giving them total control of what people can find and why were it comes to that market, so Youtube prioritized what statistically made Google the most money, and that was the end of all the cool stuff. Now we have Blippy and Mr. Beast.
>hobby means cheap and amatteur
actual good succesfull hobby projects were Doug and EEnE. You can feel it in your bones.
These worked because the guys behind each were given a chance in a time of change with networks wanting their own ecosystem of content, the real bussiness model here, which made them prime material for cable, going international and selling merch. They were part of something biggee, but they by themselves wouldn't have worked.
Trying to be part of youtube was the real model here, but then switched to TV and there obviously wasn't going to be a hit at the time, because passion alone never sells.
God I wish I could find someone who matches my own personality so perfectl both at home and professionally. I work in Biotech though so that may never happen.
Better than most modern capeshit
>Better than most modern capeshit
>one character is already a pidor
I go over the house.

They also put their money on making a break into the TV biz which hurt them in the long run
is almost like hobby projects don't work as a real bussiness model, hmmm

Baman got his back broken by Biguy
I think Alex and Lindsay are still working on them, but their professional animation work is their priority since it pays the bills.
They did work on the upcoming Fionna and Cake series.
Did work for Garfunkel and Oats, Homestar Runner, and developed a game.
It's funny because they're moronic
I had a huge crush on pumkin when I was younger.
How in the frick did they evade legal issues?
Because they're Baman and Piderman, not Batman and Spider-Man.
Ah, good point.

>Look at BIG BABY! THOSE PILLOWS
DONT DEAD
OPEN INSIDE
This was funny when I was 8 but now it just feels lazy. Basically the Seth Rogen of webtoons.
It's almost as lazy as every actual "professional" cartoon made in the past 10 years
the baman walking inside the thought bubble while going LA LA LA LALA is the funniest thing in the show
>BP season 3 has taken longer to come out than Cans Without Labels
Baman > Piderman >>> Tumblr Sexyman in a sweater
Second best Mondo show after Dick Figures
>tfw you actually want squib and pumpkin to succeed and wonder how you got to this point
Miss stuff like this and Teen Girl Squad, Dr. Tran, etc why did internet animation die?
Because there's no profit in it.
>funny shitpost cartoon goes Full Lore
