I'm currently a few episodes into season five of Bojack, and it's starting to feel like chore to watch, with pretty much every episode being about feminism or gender identity issues.
So I'm asking you, Cinemaphile, does it get better and should I power through, or should I just drop it now?

    >Netflix show pours on the sjw slop
    >Anon watches the next Netflix show thinking it will be different this time

Why are they all like this? Stop giving this shit money and views. Don't care if your pirate it, you are a complete dumbass of you don't think they don't account for the piracy market in their studies

Sounds like the free market to me.

why did you stick to it this long? the show took a real hard turn and made it clear it was run by psychopaths long before that.
yes the early seasons were good, kind of amazing, but they ruined it, and it's ruined. nothing you can do will change that. They decided they didn't want to tell a story about shitty flawed people anymore, and wanted to just pat themselves on the back for being so brave to take wrong sides.

      How?

I was hooked in with the early seasons, but I noticed the shift eventually, but they gave me just enough to keep me invested. I have a decent tolerance for bullshit, and figured it would pick up again eventually. But now I've finally gotten to a point where I'm questioning if finishing it is even worth it.

No, it goes to shit and by the last episode you can't unsee the voice actors just reading their lines into a studio mic because it's completely empty of emotion. Shame since it started off pretty good.

I find it disturbingly coincidental how much this show almost predicted exactly how Matthew Perry died.

Maybe it was some kind of death ritual.

It drops off hard starting around season 4
No, it doesn’t really get better. Bojack almost, but not, sleeping with a legal partner is treated like he raped four women
Finish it if you have nothing better to do, but it’s solidly meh tier

IDK the show had it's moment. But it kept teasing a Bojack redemption, that he was a good person - people started relating to Bojack.Feeling empathy.
Then the show-runners seemed to freak out and pull the rug real quick in season 5 to really out their own main character as the worst possible person with little hope for redemption.

Even though equally morally bad characters got away with it and never got called out??

Damn. That sounds pretty fricking awful.
The last episode I watched ended with the cliffhanger of Diane finding the recording of Bojack's confession, and I had the feeling of this getting worse before it got better. But hearing how they go forward from there, yeah, I'm dropping this.

It's been mentioned before but deserves mentioning again. After season four wrapped, Harvey Weinstein got brought down for being a huge sexual predator and the show runner/creator and the writers suddenly got a MASSIVE case of "we are fricked" because Weinstein loved the show and was one of it's most high profile fans/supporters behind the scenes. Something the showrunners and writers LOVED to fricking brag about.

So they basically shelved all plans they might have had for the show going forward and decided to self-flagulate themselves by turning the show into one big "Bojack is evil" narrative to try and absolve themselves publicly for being huge Weinstein stans.

First two seasons are great, three is still good, then after that I just watched to see it through. Asexual Todd plot was lame, felt like a "very special episode" where they were trying to educate the viewers. The part with the axolotl girl and her parents trying to force sex on them was kinda funny at least.
