Why didn’t Miller decide to go right back into this when people were still high off of Fury Road? Why’d he make some movie about a genie in a hotel room instead?
Didn't he have a dispute with Warner Bros regarding royalties for Fury Road? Basically they promised him a big bonus if he brought the movie in on schedule and under budget, which he did, but then they tried to make it out like he fricked up somehow.
Warner Bros. are a corrupt company and at the time they were being run by a bunch of completely inept lunatics so I totally believe the tried some frickery. But by his own admission they *did* give Miller more money in the middle of shooting to complete the film so I don't know about the 'under budget' part.
Just watched The Road Warrior the other night. Last good post-apocalyptic flick ever made. But you all go on watching this shit. Let us know how that works out for ya.
