I'm halfway through episode 3. I have never been so bored in my entire life. Now I know you were all paid shills.

It's more like we've been eating shit for so long that a piece of shit that's more peanuts than crap NEEDS to be elevated to high art lest Daddy Disney doubles down.

      This tbh.
Troll thread in all likelihood. This has been discussed to death. The first arc is slow setup and then it gets faster once you meet Luthen at the end of 3, and really kicks into gear with 4 when the scope expands to Coruscant etc. The prison arc (8 to 10) is some of the best TV ever, as is the finale.

Andor was for wannabe intellectuals who felt liking it would make them look smart and sophisticated. Top of the bell curve, if you know what I mean.

    yes.
    yes.
Gilroy was the man of the situation.
but instead of 12 episodes, it should have been 6.
but an other lead cast, since Diego Luna is as fade as an oyster, would have been smart.

Agreed, the entire time watching I kept asking “where’s darth vader? where’s ahsoka? why hasn’t anyone pulled out a lightsaber??” Not even a single meme reference! This isn’t my Star Wars!

I love how Andor filters morons and manchildren. It's great from the very first episode right up until the last.
    Stick to capeshit.

Eh, the quality/attention to detail is still high in the first eps, but the pace is slightly sluggish. There's a reason they dropped the first 3 at once as the premiere.

        >but the pace is slightly sluggish
You call it sluggish, I call it comfy. I don't know why so many people can't appreciate a slow buildup. It's not necessary to have a massive shootout in every episode.

The opening eps work better on rewatch, since they setup the setting and relationships for the best ep (finale), but I still think they are a little slow. Some of the stuff on Ferrix especially. Bix as a character isn't all that interesting. Idk, I just think those eps were the only ones that showed any hint of pacing/interest issues. But overall as I said, the quality of the scripts and general attention to detail still makes them good eps of tv all things considered.

            I miss slow build ups.
The original Star Wars had it, none of the modern movies do.

I see what you mean but there's slow and there's "baggy screenwriting".
It would different if it was a movie, but imagine a new tv series drops and the pilot is mostly 3p0 and artoo wandering around in the desert.
Also as a kid I actually thought the opening of ANH (the droid stuff) *was* a bit slow lol. No way to gauge how i'd feel if I first saw it as an adult of course...

Andor doesn't have anything to do with Star Wars though. I mean, where's all the Jedi and Sith waving lightsabers and using telekinesis? If it don't got simplistic color-coded good guys and bad guys batting each other with batons, it ain't Star Wars.

You probably enjoy Star Wars, that's why you hate it. That series was actually made for effeminate Disney Adults that have a selection of beard oils and hot sauces and enjoy mature content for mature viewers such as themselves... because women sure as hell ain't watching that shit.

      elaborate
Tony Gilroy doesn't strike me as any more effeminate than Filoni or Favreau.
