Maybe it's just because of when it came out? TADC is more recent and involves a lot of elements that appeal to younger generations and, while Popee is very similar, it coming out way before TADC is probably why it doesn't have as big of a fanbase. Like you said though, it does have a pretty small fanbase, I remember watching a few episodes years ago and being surprised the show actually had fans so I have to assume that, if it came out now (and assuming TADC didn't exist to hog the spotlight), it probably would be more popular.

I’m not surprised there aren’t more fans, it’s a really weird fricking show and it has its own bizarre internal logic that doesn’t relate to anything else I’ve seen. It reminded me a lot of watching really, really old cartoons or stop motion films from before everyone had come to a general consensus on techniques for conveying emotions or actions etc. I always assumed it was an eastern-European government funded cultural export like Worker and Parasite or those Hungarian folktales on the you tube. One thing that does surprise me is the lack of Popee hentai, it’s out there but the quantity is just not impressive

Yeah sure TADC got 18 times more views than Popee the preformer in much less time, it's a big difference, but it stops being so impressive when you consider that:

That's A REALLY FRICKING IMPRESSIVE NUMBER coming for a show that was made by just 3 FRICKING people, which is also "silent" show where the characters don't speak, which is something much more niche than stories of just characters talking following a script.

Like really FRICKING 11,234,628 views, from a "silent characters" animation made by JUST 3 people, that's being fricking popular and successful. Like at this point many more people have seen Popee the Preformer than some Pixars/Disney movies. I assure you that to date, much fewer people have seen things like Brave or the most recent Pixars flops like that Buzz movie and that one about the Elements.
If anything, TADC is the result of something like Popee being made and animated by a more professional studio, with multiple people working and animating instead of just 3, for something much less niche and more mainstream (people speaking and following dialogue, rather than silent characters).

And since I mentioned it, Digimon's last big success as a Franchise was "Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition", the last time I checked it reached 2 million in sales,that version of the game came out in 2019. A game from a well-known and popular franchise, in which tons of money was burned, and almost 5 times more people have seen this animation called Poope, made by 3 people btw, than have played that Digimon game, yup.
I searched for Poope on Google and I got quite a bit of fanart too. There are animations that are eternal classics of the Internet, they were uploaded more than 9 years ago, and they have only 2,242,643 views compared to the 11,234,628 that Poope has had since 2018

Probably because homestuck animations debuted in flash and not on youtube. There's someone's own flipnote OC music video that has a similar artstyle that not only has 14m views and is tied with the original song upload. The artist thanked them for using their music in the comment section.
And for the record, I am aware that there is a big big big difference between 206,190,501 and 11,234,628 , and clearly the TADC fandom is much bigger in much less time and content.
But like...calling something of success of Poope "underrated with a small fanbase" I find it like an incredibly ridiculous statement. By those standards, franchises like Persona or The King of Fighters are "underrated with a small fanbase".
