True, but at the same time, they are stupid for thinking suck a boring trailer was going to keep anybody interested. They lost their touch for cute stories for little girls so much
It has really strong holds, but that fricking budget. It will likely finish around 300-350m WW, putting it at bomb rather than buttfrick catastrophe like Lightyear or Strange World.
There was literally nothing wrong with this film. Water guy helps Fire girl realize she has to do what she wants not what her parents want. That’s a decent moral.
>Okay, but is that really worthy of a budget of 200 million dollars?
Just by the plot alone? Nope. Elemental is expensive because it's a 90 minutes long tech demo that is using some of Pixar's newest techniques and toys: https://graphics.pixar.com/library/
They became so focused on the "graphics" that forgot about the rest of the movie.
Doesn't help matters that Elemental doesn't have any officially licensed Funko Pops. Surprising, considering how Disney is one of the few companies that still have faith in Funko.
You can’t spend $200 million on a no-name actors romcom and expect to have a profitable movie. I don’t think you can spend $200 million on any romcom and have a profitable movie.
I searched a bit and found out the highest grossing romcom movie is My By Fat Greek Wedding with ~$240 million
There is no fricking way Elemental could have been profitable the way it is.
what Cinemaphile movie isn't flopping that isn't spiderman?
Super Mario Bros.
Guardians 3
Looks like none since Ruby Gillman is going to flop. Let's see how teenage mutant ninja turtles does.
Mario
>that isn't spiderman?
You mean that isn't Mario since that Black didn't make half of what our white Italian chad did.
So any movie that doesn't make a billion is a flop?
Well, at least it didn't bomb... yet.

What was the budget?
Approx $200 Million.

Agreed. It was very generic. Would've loved them actually doing a world of individual elements and not just...natural forces (earth/water/fire/air).

This storyline is more suited to an Elemental TV show with the Lumen family and this is season 1 episode 8.

Trailer was bad
>30 seconds of just element puns
And the designs couldn’t be more boring
Pixar's attempts to make the dirt child marketable is just sad.
He has a better design than the main characters
If Disney would drop this shit with shoving forcing kiddy characters into everything, they might be less broke.
Children like child characters
What they don’t like is characters that act like children
>held well in it’s second weekend
Not so fast
I have a feeling this movie might do well once it’s out on streaming
Yes, the 0 dollars Disney is making from the streaming is what they truly wanted.
It's their only hope since this shit ain't selling any toys

If you do, it better be a musical romcom like Mamma Mia or some shit, but even that movie didn't cost 200m.

I know that feel.
Even if it flopped I have a feeling it will still get attention and be somewhat of a cult classic. Ember is just that sexo.
i'm pretty glad this movie flopped, it was a shitty romcom story.
Ember just needed a good fricking
I loved it but considering the story it would have been better on Disney + considering the adult nature of it. 8.5/10 would recommend.
Probably the most decent movie pixar has made since coco, is a little basic, but I like it.
I'm more susprised they actually made an heterosexual romance movie in these times.
>Probably the most decent movie pixar
Soul was
Honey wake up, official nudes just dropped.
