I don’t see a world where this actually gets made seeing as they’re losing north of $150m on Haunted Mansion, hardly broke even with The Little Mermaid and have the next biggest box office flop of the year with Indiana Jones 5. Put simply, Disney knows that with falling park revenue and the lacking profitability of streaming they can’t just throw hundreds of millions at anything. In five years, Disney has seen nine-figure losses on the following

>Quantumania (because this cost more than the little mermaid and made ~$100m less)

>the new mutants

Those are the biggest losers I can think of but then there’s plenty more that Disney even concede were disappointing if not outright flops from recent years. I don’t even think that with the amount lost by Solo and Indy 5 that Disney are in profit from having bought Lucasarts.
