It's ignorant to think that someone's autonomy (including ability to kill themselves if they wish to do so) shouldn't take precedence over your feelings.
It's actually more utilitarian, which is the opposite of selfish. Your argument is from an individualist mindset, which is a self absorbed mindset to begin with so even if an individualist told someone not to kill themselves it is zero sum selfishness because the victim was being selfish anyway.
