TMNT made Cowabunga into such a widely known catchphrase that everyone thinks it's some goofy 90s surfer slang, and not a reference to Howdy Doody.
TMNT made pop culture. Mutant Mayhem is desperate to be relevant. b***hing about TMNT's earlier incarnation being corny is just being a homosexual and trying to imply that the old thing was bad, so no one can b***h about the new thing being worse.
True, but TMNT is one of the few unique things where you get to see a generation come to terms with something not being for them anymore again and again
I got news for you dude that's every TMNT thing ever, even that one you like
I mean like this movie in general. Yes Ips die but frick dude they referenced so much shit in this movie and it was like obnoxious as frick. Like it felt pandering to the gen z demographic with the references to tiktok, artists like bts, and like shit like that. The movie was ok at least. I had lower expectation but damn. This movie is gonna become outdated very quick.
I enjoyed Back to the Future despite knowing frickall about the 80s or 50s, except for what little parts trickled in from cultural osmosis
Nothing seems too egregious about this one except for the final critical save-the-day plan being a reference to some shitty overrated anime
I do also very much especially love the tagline "from the mind of permanent teenager seth rogan"
like oh thats exactly who I want to see shit made by from now on: anyone that hasn't achieved adulthood
I think he's referring to the fact that in 20 years nobody will ever refer to Mutant Mayhem again while the '87 show is still all over retail stores 36 years later and is still basically the face of the brand.
okay
It's already dated after 20 days
And it isn't to hear people say "cowabunga"?
Cowabunga is in its own TMNT lexicon. Them name dropping Attack on Titan and talking about very specific youtubers is moronic.
>Cowabunga is in its own TMNT lexicon
Like Chevy Nova, right?

>TMNT made pop culture
I wish 80s kids could just settle the frick down a little. The franchise hasn't been this popular since fricking 2007.
It's fricking funny how they unironically are sounding like grandpa simpson now
You can't accuse anyone of being an out-of-touch boomer if you claim TMNT "made culture", you fricking grandpa.
So like the original cartoon?
>and be though of as cringe worthy
too late
I got news for you dude that's every TMNT thing ever, even that one you like
That's EVERY THING ever, certainly not just TMNT

What entertainment isn't dated after 20 years?
everything made during the 70s and 80s
dated 5 years ago at this point
tumblrs been dead awhile, theres no excuse for this movie to exist
I do also very much especially love the tagline "from the mind of permanent teenager seth rogan"

like 87 outside the toyetic designs?

THE TRUEST FORM OF TMNT IS TO BE INHERENT DATED YOU FRICKING moron.
