The military stuff is pretty fun, worth a watch for that. Though depending on how you feel about dicky, you might or might not be unconfortable with this show. You know the trope about the 800 year old demon in the body of an eight year old girl? Yeah, the show has one, and she's constantly trying to frick the MC.
Rory was the best part of the show.
She doesn't even make sense. She's the avatar of the god of war and derives erotic pleasure when people kill each other. But then for some reason she always supports the MC when he's always trying to minimize casualties and save innocents. I like e-girl hentai as much as the next guy but there's a time and a place for everything.

You're conflating two scenes. There's one where she kills like fifteen dudes, but she shoots them all. There's also a scene where she kicks one guy's ass, who while not gigantic, is still a big guy. She doesn't just overpower him for no reason though, she's a judo expert and uses his own strength against him. The show is honestly not bad in that regard.

I used to like anime and its shitty tropes but then I grew up. Doesn't mean I don't try out some shows now and then if they're recommended to me and have an interesting concept. There's even some good ones here and there but usually they are disappointing.
Last good one I tried out and actually finished was devilman crybaby. No pedo shit, no boring harem cardbord cutout charachters, actually interesting story beside the monster of the week shit. Sad that there are no more animes like that.

If you're willing to overlook the jsdf circlejerk and obvious self insert of the main character being a ranger but not actually caring about soldier stuff and just wants to watch animus and read mangos. Thats the problem I have with most animes, the writer just blatantly self inserts into a harem. I trained with the Japanese snipers and rangers and they sure as frick aren't some otakus who only does soldiering for a paycheck to pay for their cartoon addiction.
Overall it's not terrible, interesting concept but as with most modern animes it just devolves into some harem bullshit instead of focusing on the interesting premise.
I don't know any Jap soldiers, but I do know a couple of Australian SAS and 1st regiment guys and honestly the MCs attitude is often how they behave. They're not Otakus but they hide how dangerous they are behind affable facades which they can switch on and off in the blink of an eye.
