Yes. Don't be put off by the tryhard indie tropes at the beginning (and also the end) because once the movie takes off it's fantastic. This was the movie that turned me into an Anton Yelchin fan but by the time it came out it was already too late.
Also screw what anybody else says, it's better than Blue Ruin.
the first act is dull and the final act is a little predictable, but the middle section of the movie is some of the most brutal and tense stuff ever filmed
Here's what I didn't like about this movie:
1. No way in hell would a bunch of skinheads at a neo-nazi concert hall let a band get away with playing Nazi Punks Frick Off. I've seen footage of skinheads attacking a guy just for having long hair at one of their concerts.
2. Some of the 'red laces' skinheads were oddly 'soft'. Or maybe they were just meant to be really young? I'm sure anons know which ones I'm talking about specifically. It felt off; especially since they were meant to be the hardcore ones who actually commit violence.
this movie cleared out half a theater of boomers when i saw it. they mustve just known Patrick Stewart was in it and decided to go see it? As the movie started getting really violent they were fleeing
She became a neo Nazi because some minorities hurt her. I'm the most violent minority though and I would never because Poots is so cute
Poots aside, is this actually worth watching?

Agreed, green room blows blue ruin out of the water and I’m tired of pretending it doesn’t.
Yeah its still leftie bs but its fun to watch
Yes. I'm a Neo-Nazi basedchad and I still enjoyed it.

No, watch The Green Room (1978) instead
Everybody poots.
It's an excellent movie. But watch Blue Ruin first.

you have to remember they are in portland so by default none of them are intimidating or really about it

I remember when Hayden Christensen was hooking up with her after his divorce
Blue Ruin > Red Rocket > Green Room
What is the relation to Red Rocket?
Guess
gosh i want to wear her poots
I love you Imogen Gay Poots!
>here's Patrick Steward as a white supremacist biker gang leader
stunt casting distracted the kino, oh well
Stewart was good in the role
she has a nice poothole
I would let my arm be chopped down to ribbons by machetes just to hear her tell me to shut the frick up as I tell my desert island band story
