Great production, boring ass songs. I prefer Take a Look in the mirror, even if the band itself hates it

I got it when it first came out, it was shit, overproduced crap. Issues had its issues but at least it had three bangers in.
Same with Follow the Leader, three bangers and then filler.

To be fair though only one nu metal band managed to deliver one solid album that could listen through, Limp Bizkit with Chocolate.

        >overproduced crap
What's this stupid excuse people keep making about old albums being "overproduced". So what? They had a huge budget from all the tours and albums they sold, they can go all out in the studio. It's just part of the process of being an artist. What artist decides that their next album should be made tie half the budget of the last album, no one does that.
        >what about "x band"
Sure you have a couple examples like Nirvana and whatnot but the point of advancing your career as an artist is to improve your sound over time.

Davis was/is easily the worst member of Korn. I'm not sure what he brought to the table, but it's clear that "Head" wrote most of the melodic stuff. The crackhead drummer was decent too. So, basically "Fieldy" and "Munky" followed suit. "Munky" was probably decent too, though. However, Davis and "Fiedly" are both relatively talentless.

Anyways, Korn would be a solid metal band these days if Davis refrained from talking about rape and getting bullied in high school. Too much cringe.

The second self-titled, that weird one from like 2009, was decent.

That music is all TERRIBLE. The early 2000s was a cultural wasteland. The only difference is there were a few good things that came out as opposed to nothing today.

ok yeah it wasn't as good as it was in the 70s, whatever, this is common knowledge. But compare what we had in the 2000s to what we have right now, look at the state of rock music in 2024, look at the state of rap, pop, electronic basically any genre out there is at it's lowest point.

FYI, pickle just so happens to be the biggest musician of our time. Now look back at the 2000s, you can clearly see how things were better.
