According to his official account
>Yesterday, after a year of fighting a very aggressive form of terminal cancer, we lost Scott Blair. This was a battle with an inevitable ending, but Scott fought very hard to stay here with us.
>Thank you all for the constant love and support; his memory and art will live on.
Casual dude here. I don't know who this is, but I SEE BOOBA.
Google him, you'll be very surprised. Artist with a foot fetish. Somehow even got it onto covers.
It's more that he drew whatever he was commissioned to draw (short of nudity). Footgays just happened to be among his patrons because he didn't have a problem drawing that stuff.
Post your favorite Blair art

Motherfricker, they're dropping like flies
RIP
Sounds like he was only in his mid 40s? That's fricking shitty.
Didn’t think to check until now but he’s related to Garret Blair which should’ve been obvious. I think Garret is HIV positive too, isn’t he? What a cursed family.
I know Scott Blair. I haven't seen or spoken to him in years, so I can't say I knew him well or that we were close friends, because neither of those things would be true. But he was a longtime friend of a friend. I even know some of the models that posed for his art.
Scott was one of those artists that basically makes their living sell prints and original artwork in artist alley at cons. His shtick/gimmick was that he draws popular characters based on the appearance of irl cosplay models, of which he kept in contact and worked with quite a few. If you're from South Florida, which has a metric ton of comic/anime/geek conventions, then you have almost undoubtedly seen him at a con. He used to go to like all of them. Sometimes he'd have the models there posing for photos, though rarely, but it was fun to see.
He did some interior work for comics, and I think some variant covers, but was mostly a con regular who got by on selling artwork. So he counts as a comics pro, even if that wasn't the thing he was known for.
Anyway, I hope I'm not rambling, but I'm kind of at a loss for words right now because I'm just finding out about this, so I'm kind of making this post up as I go along. I'll never forget watching my friend pose for pics dressed in-character and signing autographs at his booth. Or all the cool art he drew of her that she still has hanging up in her house that I see every time I go over there. Or just how chill he was. And his art style over the years has become one that I could spot a mile away. Nobody else drew quite like him.
I'll talk to my friend in the morning. I don't know if they kept in contact or not. I don't know if she heard about this yet. It's one thing when it's a celebrity, but this is somebody that I've hung out with and actually got to somewhat know personally for years.
R.I.P. Scott Blair. I won't forget any of it and neither will the rest of the crew. Thanks for being so cool to us and for shouting us out on twitter lol.
Sorry anon. It's a weird feeling when you find out that somebody you once knew as a semi-friend/friendly acquaintance has passed away, especially somebody relatively young who you just assumed were doing, and would continue to be, OK. No goodbye, no preparation, not even the immediate sting of losing somebody closer. Maybe you never specifically planned on meeting up with them again, but something in the back of your mind always felt like hey, maybe one day I'll run into them again somewhere, maybe I'll get back in touch.
First time I remember this happening to me was back in probably the late 2000s/early 2010s, reading on Paheal that a certain porn artist had died, on a TDI piece. More recently was one of the iconic OGs of online furry art, KingCheetah, who also died of cancer.
For me it was Rankerhen.
I followed him on insta when I still had it. I deleted my account some time after he started chemo, this was like a year ago or so. He not only made some characters look like cosplayers, but also captured the likenesses of actresses pretty well. You see a lot of girls with the same look in his insta and prints but he was very capable. He was also followed by a lot of artists that are pretty much outside of the fetish circle and more into the actual professional comic artist landscape, so I guess he was very friendly at those cons he went to.
And yes, he did got to mail his work to Tarantino.
It's not like I have connection to various fetish/commission artists, but reading about how they die is still depressing.
'Hey , renenver the guy who drew that thing you fapped to? Died of heart attack'
rip
someone needs to cure cancer before it gets me
That's like saying someone needs to cure death
Man. Everybody gots cancer n shit!
>it's some foot homosexual
Could be worse. He could have a fetish for other dudes. Ick!
Parabolastar has both
He seemed like a good guy and his skill with copic markers was extraordinary.

I'm sad whenever a genuinely talented artist passes. There's fewer and fewer with each passing year.
I dont know him, but he seems to be a hardworking artist. Even he seems to be a footgay but still he makes feetlovers happy.
So F from me.
He drew all that stuff with a marker, didn't he? That's pretty impressive. Dude was a legit talented artist.
Damn. R.I.P. I always liked his work.
I don't get the foot obsession, but the chick's he drew were cute
Spider-Man will lose
F
Frick cancer, man.
