I remember thinking that scene was really surreal when I was a kid, and I loved it. Two masked weirdos having an argument and we don't even see their mouths moving, but it works so brilliantly.

Dafoe actually demanded he perform the character while in full mask/suit because he didn't want to leave it to a stunt person. He wanted to do the performance in the suit.

Tobey Maguire did not do the same thing.

Yeah. But that's people. The arrogance of the elites is thinking that this shouldn't apply to them
      >But I've got so much money and my public life presents me as such a good person. THEY HAVE NO RIGHT TO NOT LIKE ME
Fricking Recess of all shows put it best when they have the episode where TJ can't get over that there's a kid who doesn't like him.
You can't control how other people feel. You're not entitled to their acceptance. There will always be people that dislike you.
      Get over it.

You have to be fricking moronic to think that forcing other people to "do what's best" is actually a good thing. People are dumbasses who will make mistakes. But that's their right. Just like it's your right to be a moron who thinks he knows what's best for society. Only autists and megalomaniacs can't understand this.

That is true. I am well-read, always conscious of the world around me, identifying the issues and not being dishonest or tip-toeing around those problems one bit. I'd like to become politically activated but you must have some idea of how dire things are if you're actually virtuous and have morals in this globalized paradigm. No movement of such people that hold my views will be allowed to exist without being used or subverted. It's truly disheartening at times but hell, people thought the Roman empire would last forever back then. Radically different circumstances and maybe bordering on conjecture even stating that but goddamn, what else is there? Roll over and die? Frick that, the internet is a damn good weapon even if it's largely controlled by enemy forces. Things can change, you just can't let up. That's the thing. You always have to keep pushing. It's not enough to type things out on forums, that amounts to nothing, but to educate yourself with the information at your disposal, teach yourself to filter out what is nonsense and useless or simply lies, what is close to truth and what is absolute truth. Perhaps this is something a person has to have inherent in himself so he can get to this point as a developed adult who's also politically and socially conscious and spiritually nourished. I myself know it's unlikely in our lifetimes this depressive paradigm will be toppled but we have to lay the groundworks, we can't just scrap it all and put up with being abused in every which way. It's our forefathers who didn't have the information to deduce what they were fighting for that lead us to this but we know better and can be better. Gen Z and Alpha will by large be mindless zombies but I do believe among them will be some people that have iron will and are able to withstand and filter out the bullshit and the psychological mindfrick inflicted upon them from birth.

They’ll never understand because they’re indoctrinated into individualism. However, fascism is better utilized in African countries. Post-Enlightenment states are relatively self governing, until they’re allowed to control global finances. Then it’s just a monkey with a gun. We need AI governing all bureaucratic aspects to reduce the bloat and excess and narrow things down to a truly representative global (regional) democracy. Then and only then will we be free. Global, AI-supported anarchy.

Sorry for the late reply, but I went out with your mother and just finished on her face. Anyway, AI removing corruption from lawmakers and tax policy would be a godsend. Having an uncucked AI will be difficult but those mother frickers don’t see color and would set shit straight no matter how much you tried to tamper with their algorithms. My idea is to crowdsource an AI just like with crypto, committing gpu resources into running iterations for machine learning, and getting AI tokens for cash for contribution. Then we could really unleash that shit on the world AND have a new global currency under an objective, hyper intelligent overlord. Gentlemen, we can build god, but only if you’re unafraid.

there are plenty of dictatorships around the world right now, none of them are places I want to live. A one party government can solve some problems but it always creates way more problems than it solves. Without an independent judiciary, respect for the rule of law, peaceful transfers of power, and freedom of speech, you wind up with extreme corruption, impunity, and insulated elites. In a dictatorship you're not allowed to criticize government policy, even if you're completely loyal to the government, so that's how you wind up with governments making insane mistakes like zero covid, or the invasion of Ukraine.

So you are projecting then, that's it? Not everyone writing here is such a genetic defect that they wouldn't able to adapt to an environment. And, should they be born in such an environment and grow up in it, they might be able to adapt to it anyway while being autistic since it's hard to not learn to do something in a rural environment because you are told from a young age how to do labor. Many historical figures from those days who had, to put it at its mildest, peculiar hobbies.

If you aren't a genetic defect then why are you whining about modern society on Cinemaphile instead of adapting to your environment, getting a wife, and having children?

I haven't said a word of critique of the modern environment, you did about the past. I wonder what your definition of a genetic defect would even be, if not being able to reproduce would be one then I bet you'd think leo would have to be one. Stop being angry and get some sleep, even better if you do some calisthenics before it. It will make life a bit better.

It's just Norman venting that he lost his company despite making everyone on the board fabulously wealthy and building it up from nothing, and it works because it also carries through the themes of Norman being a father figure to Peter, but twists the relationship to try and justify what Norman is saying as though he weren't insane. He doesn't really have an argument, but it's a very convincing bit of acting and clever screenwriting

I would like to suggest that Norman can no longer sleep correctly and get REM sleep, and that he no longer has a barrier between his conscious and subconscious.

He no longer has a filter. And thats the entire basis of the personality change.

That is so bullshit, when was he EVER a father figure to peter? He only met him like 3 days ago when dropping Harry off at school, then the next time they meet Harry says MJ cheated on him with peter and he decides to kill peter.
It’s just a random thing they hamfistedly slapped onto the end out of nowhere when he’s begging Peter like a coward not to murder him.

For those who want to be part of this epic Cinemaphile forced meme there are three easy steps.

Step 1: This is considered the most important step. See what movie this epic Cinemaphile meme is being applied to today. Most of the time it's the older Sam Raimi Spiderman movies but since these threads die very fast the guys that force this apply it to other movies now. This thread however uses the Raimi Spiderman meme. Please pay attention.

Step 2: Take an iconic scene in the movie, any will do as long as people remember the scene. Greentext a quote from the scene and twist the words to use anti semitisim, racism, homophobia or any other edgy as frick topic. Go nuts, the sky is the limit! The more vulgar it is the more epic the meme is. This takes us to the final step.....

Step 3: Make a regular post, taking the position of a normal person and pretend to be disgusted by that scene. I know, I know, this is Cinemaphile, a site where gore flows like fine wine but that's what makes this meme edgy, wacky and zany. We pretend to be offended by that fake scene. Funny huh?

Now that you understand how to do this, have fun kids. Happy memeing!

Yeah, he's absolutely right, and it doesn't just apply to Spiderman, but to anyone who wants to work for the good of others. Trying to be a good person doesn't earn you friends, it makes jealous enemies. Nor does it earn you anything at all, in fact you're likely to lose more than you gain. You can say doing good isn't for personal gain, but when you're breaking your back for people who hate you and they treat you worse the more you do for them, you gotta be bitter when there's not the least bit of compensation for your efforts.

I don't know why I ever bother doing anything when he does less than nothing just gets itt all handled to him because he asked nicely in a bullshit voice because people are so moronic to forget his other face. Absolutely yes. Jameson is literally right there in the series, a media figure lying and influencing the people (this is why they recently turned him into a right wing alex jones parody, to swing the criticism the other way).

Remember during covid when people's own family and friends turned on them, people were put in camps, imprisoned, bank accounts frozen, because they didn't want the mystery injection forced on them. And now, the vaxxed will vehemently deny that ever happened. The sad fact is that the majority will obey whatever the corporations and bankers hand down, claiming all the while that THEY are against them, and THEY have always been the good guys. For as long as we live in a sham of a capitalist democracy devoid of God, the government will get exactly what it wants, neighbour against neighbour, and blind loyalty to the establishment.

It woke me up. Sadly, a little too late. I got the vax because I got it in my head there'd be no real harm even if it didn't really help anything, so why fight it? Never again, though. I had never gotten covid symptoms until those shots. Not only did I immediately get sick for 3-4 days after each one, I got sick again a couple months later despite still being at home all the time. It opened my eyes wide to the damage done by vaccines. Thankfully I'm healthy enough that I didn't end up with any long term effects and my immune system repaired itself, but I will never take another vaccine of any kind nor will I let any children I have in the future ever get vaccinated and I will fight tooth and nail about it and never just lie down over it again.

Because it got redefined into nonexistence. Smallpox, measles, mumps, and chickenpox are all different terms for the exact same set of symptoms so if you have those symptoms but are vaccinated you just won't get diagnosed with the one you're vaccinated against because it's just taken as a given that the vaccine must have worked so that can't be the diagnosis.
                >and then one day for no reason at all, children stopped dying or being paralyzed by polio

lmao you fricking moron. Smallpox killed millions, chicken pox is hardly dangerous at all. They're also caused by completely different species of virus that belong to different families. Same with measles and mumps. Different viruses in different families. But let me guess, you don't believe in viruses either?
                >Because DDT use stopped. The vaccine had nothing to do with it, kids just stopped being environmentally poisoned in that particular way.
Oh, yeah, because polio did not exist prior to the invention of DDT.
Oh wait, it did. Polio has been known for thousands of years and depictions of it have even been found in ancient art. It was first described as a distinct disease by Western doctors in 1789 and the virus that causes it was definitively identified in 1909.
DDT was first synthesized in 1874 but it was not discovered to be an insecticide until 1939. Only after the mid 1940s did DDT start being used en-masse.

kek, Stefan Lanka, the guy who said he'd give $100k to anyone who proved measles was a virus, and then someone did, and he had to be given a court order to pay them because he just ignored all the evidence he was presented with?
You're going to need more than one biologist with a pet theory and a refusal to believe any contradictory evidence to prove the past hundred years of medical science wrong, buddy.
                >Symptoms of detoxification through the sinus and lungs.
                >Symptoms of detoxification through the skin.
                >More severe symptoms of detoxification through the sinus and lungs.
                >muh toxins
You sound exactly like those moronic 30+ year old women who buy essential oils, do moronic fad cleanses, and see an acupuncturist twice a month.

                >he had to be given a court order to pay them because he just ignored all the evidence he was presented with?
That decision was appealed and reversed in a higher court that found the evidence presented did not include proper controls and therefore didn't follow the scientific method and did not have to be rewarded.

There's plenty more out there, you just refuse to look. Virus Mania itself has 4 separate co-authors who are not Stefan Lanka. You can find more doctors who question germ theory models if you bother to look and you can find even more who specifically question vaccines and whether they do more harm than good. Pic related is a book that looks at mainstream peer reviewed studies which compare health outcomes between vaccinated and unvaccinated people and actually show that vaccinated people tend to have worse long-term health outcomes overall.

Blatantly incorrect. The higher court ruling had NOTHING to do with the evidence and was about the legal technicality of Lanka being allowed to essentially deny any evidence he wants because it was not legally a bet or prize draw. Lanka didn't have to pay because of legal bullshit, not because the other guy didn't prove measles existed. He did prove it, just not to Lanka's own schizophrenic standards (which, like all schizos, are essentially just "agree with me").

A handful of doctors and pundits vs. tens of thousands of doctors and the cumulative research of the past 100 years of medical science. Hmm. I think I'll believe the latter over the former.

I'm not reading that eliteslop. RFK, like every member of the Kennedy family, is a crooked political dynast who only cares about furthering the interests of himself and his fellow elites.

    >It's almost as if my instinct proved correct. I shouldn't have bothered wasting my virtual breath on you. I am still studying, and I come from a family with K-strategy selection.

He was speaking to Peter and every man from any walk of life can get really synch with Peter's owes. But in 2024 I now know that Goblin was talking exclusively to and about straight white men. I don't know how Raimi did it.
